I thought this would be a great thread, so that we could all debate what the best movie of this summer was.

My favorite was Transformers, by far. Not to mention the girl in the movie, Megan Fox, is a total babe. Guys, google her, and bring a paper towel.

Spiderman 3 was a massive disappointment considering that I got caught up with all the hype. Shrek 3 was lame. The third Pirates was alright. Not as good as the first, but way better than the second which totally sucked. Disturbia was really good. The Bourne Ultimatum really good, as well.

I still haven't gotten to see The Simpsons Movie, Rush Hour 3, Harry Potter 5, or Superbad, which I heard was frickin awesome.

I just saw Transformers.

Someone I know said they thought it was great until the robots started talking.

I was the opposite, having grown up watching the cartoon and the toys, I was a little dissapointed that their characters weren't developed a bit better. I was dissapointed that Bumblebee wasn't a VW beetle, and would have preferred to see the old characters like Soundwave (my favourite) ....

Still, not a bad effort, would like to see a sequel done.

I went to see Stardust.

Great date movie, but personally, not worth seeing on the big screen. I'd have preferred to be snuggled up watching it in my living room for a fraction of the cost. But then, I'm like that with most movies.

The plot was an interesting fantasy, with bits of action, drama, and comedy all mixed in. While it contained some of the cheesiest dialogue and worst acting I've ever seen from both Robert DeNiro and Michelle Pfeifer, Claire Danes and Charlie Cox made up for it, and the comedic foils throughout absolutely made the movie.

Soundwave was my favourite as well. Hopefully he will make an appearance in the sequel.
