By Driving over 100mph..among other things....

I wonder how many carbon offset credits it will take for "daddy" to fix this?

LAGUNA NIGUEL, California — Al Gore's son faces up to three years in prison if convicted on felony drug-possession charges and lesser offenses related to July 4 traffic stop in Orange County where he was found with 140 Vicodin pills, according to a report from the People.com Web site.
Al Gore III, 24, faces two felony counts of drug possession, two misdemeanor counts of drug possession without a prescription and one misdemeanor count of marijuana possession, the district attorney's office said in a statement. Gore also was charged with a traffic infraction for allegedly driving faster than 100 mph.

This is just another inconvenient truth..don't let it bother you too much...:p

I'm good with it. It still doesn't amount to anything near what the Bush girls get up to on any given weekend. Are they even allowed to drive anymore? Though it does raise an interesting point of conversation, let's talk about his drug problem and the one that You're pal Dubya had with the Cocaine.

In hind sight, was it wise to allow a drug and alcohol abusing party boy from Texas of all places, run the country and use the military as a distraction for the abominalbe state he has left the US in?

I also remember Billy Carter gathering some headlines while bro Jimmy was Pres.

Perhaps the Bush girls and Al Jr. can get together and have a party.

I just can't understand the fascination with what the kids of celebs and politicians are doing.

They are individuals. If he's old enough to be out doing drugs and driving 100mph, then he very clearly has cut the cord and moved on to his own adventures. I don't think his folks deserve the credit or the blame frankly.

Now, the day one of their three year olds is out partying and doing lines, I'd point a finger.

Frankly, I'd prefer to see these young people acting out like this rather than being some carbon copy, brainwashed version of their parents.

So, lemme get this straight:

Gore's kid acts like a boob, and now everything Gore Senior has said is hypocritical BS?

Retarded line of reasoning.

Who cares? The kid is not the politician.

Leave him alone to be a kid.

Whatever, Walter - the point is he is a private citizen and we are using his stupid actions as a way to attack someone else.

A stupid, opportunistic and very mean tactic.

You can go back to busying yourself with trivia now, Walter.

At what age should we consider him to be an adult?

what reasonable difference does it make if you consider him an adult? He's still young dumb and full of... okay, enough redneck quotes. If you classify him an adult, all it does is solidify the point... HIS PARENTS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS ACTIONS. If they were, then he wouldn't be facing up to three years for his possession charge. The law recognizes him as an adult, and solely responsible for his actions. Why doesn't the media get that?

Because if the media got that then they wouldn't have a story for the 6PM news and may get lower ratings. They can keep the story going by just shoving microphones in people's faces.

?

I'd say the exact same things I've said, even if this was an article where the media were ripping on the Bush twins. Disagreeing with the way the media is functioning isn't dependent on who they're targetting.
