Odd how the cry for national support doesn't work in Canada. Reminds me of Montreal. the moment the habs are out of the playoffs hockey season is declared over. Sportsman, go figure.I wonder how the rest of Canada without the leaf loser mentality is cheering for the Sens

Why they're passing across in the neutral zone against the trap is beyond me. If they want to charge the net forget the slot blast it from the point and let the wings pick up the garbage. That'll clear things out. Defense can only take it in the ankles so many times before their limbic system takes over.

At least they got the Ducks to give up the boards. Home games. Last change. Try putting a stronger forechecker on the first line and stick with it for a while because right now they can't even get ahold of the puck.

I was amazed at how poorly Ottawa played; they coudn't get it out of their own zone, and, like you said, they just kept dumping the puck into the Ducks end, and never got to get to it.

Did these guys not learn how to carry the puck in?

I would cheer for any Canadian team .... except Ottawa and/or Montreal. Just can't do it.

May we ask why.

Of course you may ask. But unless you are the Queen should't it be "may I ask why?"?

In this case I will share an answer with you. Its simple.
I don't like either of those teams, Canadian or not.

And if you want to get patriotic and crap, then consider that the Ducks have more Canadian players (19) vs the Sens (14).

Yah, I can understand where you're coming from. As a Habs fan I can cheer for Ottawa, but if the Leafs were in the finals I'd probably be pulling for the Ducks. Fortunately, since I'm fifty years old, that probably won't happen until I'm long gone.

I think that's what they were trying but if you count the Ducks at the blue line most of the time they'd already waited too long and had to skate around the trap to get at it. It also explains all their drop passes two steps in.

speaking of crossing the blue line, you'd think they'd have noticed by now Giguere is left-handed.

You are probably right. Seems, this year, the only team Toronto was capable of beating when it counted was Montreal.

Don't remind me. I was at a friend's house for that last game. The whole family cheers for the Leafs. The result was bad enough, but having their 7-year-old son come up to me and say "It's okay, Uncle, maybe next year" was the ultimate humiliation!
