Dont insult the holy woman of the church please.

Catholic schools do a way better job of education then most public schools.

What the....are you smoking glue or something?

So, how exactly do catholic schools do a way better job than most public schools?

And, you don't think that nuns beat the snot out of students with rulers and belts? Just ask anyone who went to a catholic school in the 50's or 60's...they might suggest otherwise.

As usual, I'm late to the game, but a couple things aobut this thread struck me as funny.

1. 76% believe in the Bible... so do the other 24% believe the book on my shelf is an apparition? Because it's pretty real... whether you believe in the validity of the CONTENTS or not is another thing. lol.

2. snfu... nuns USED to beat kids, but so did teachers in other schools. It doesn't mean it happens now. And, I hate to say it, but in personal experience, Catholic school does a much more thorough job of teaching. Like Gilbert points out, so does homeschooling (depending on the dedication of the parents) and private school. Essentially, if you get the chance to pull your kids from public, take it.

Really? I don't know...I mean, what do you mean by better education? What do you think they are doing right and the public system is doing so wrong? I went through the public system and feel that I got a good education. What do you feel the catholic system could have offered me that was better?

Yes, they hit kids in public schools also. Strapped them and such

Not exclusive to Catholic Schools.

And their is generally more respect, discipline, and higher achievement in Catholic Schools. Public schools have the gov. rulings to deal with.

I agree 100%... if you got a chance to get out of public school, take it, run, and never look back.

If I have kids some day, and can afford private school thats the way I will be going.

She is a Christian in Hollywood, which makes her influential.

And I do think deep down, on behalf of most men and woman, that homosexuality is wrong and immoral.
You think on behalf of most men and women? I think you give yourself too much credit.
Being a Christian in Hollywood makes her influential? I don't think so. You have to be a Scientologist to be influential in Hollywood.

I can speak for all Canadians when I say atheism is the most volatile worst thing a man can be.

To deny an existence of a God is worse than slaying another man.

So you would rather be murdered than hear I'm an atheist or do you mean you'd rather I killed someone else? That seems pretty ridiculous.

Give those "lazy" Christians a choice. Ya, those who don't go to church, those who don't follow the "rules", those who would rather read playboy or playgirl instead of the Bible.
Christianity or [insert other eastern religion here].
I bet they'll choose Christianity 9 out of 10.

What I mean is:

Being an atheist, and denying God`s existence is worse than a person killing a thousand men.
