i expect it's written all over the internet. It might not be about the environment to the people who want "their" money, but it is to those of us who think he should have a discount

I was just saying that it was one way in which the gov could justify them needing to tax it still. And we sort of ran with that side of the discussion. None of the rest really bears much discussion... greedy gov, wants their money. Any surprises there? Much to talk about? I didn't really find that side of the discussion to be very chit chatty, more just puts me in a bad mood. lol. Besides, it's kind of the obvious take on it. Governments want their taxes. And if they hide a large part of our taxes in a sector like that, then they want to make sure tax payers don't find a way to weasel around it. Much like making barter groups illegal, or forcing them to pay taxes. it really doesn't boil down to much more than a money grab.

total bs.

it isn't him who has to pay the tax it is the seller.

I can fart in my gas tank (methane) and no one can make me pay for my farts, if they do I'll quickly die and damn them.

The state can fk off as far as I'm concerned.

total bs.

when you buy gas you pay tax on it, same as when you buy almost anything. Two things are certian in this life, tax and death.

btw farts are only a very small portion methane and sure as hell wouldnt help your car and if u want the state to f off then you had better leave it, cos they'll still tax you even if u dont like it.

I thought I should add, it is highly unlikely the spirit of the law covered kfc wastes. So it shouldn't be applied out of context, to penalize. Otherwise KFC and other fat fryers should be forced to pay for their oil, since it can be used as fuel.. what about margerine or olive oil.. etc.. it is b.s. if it is unregulated and non intended the use should not be assumed after the fact, it should be at point of sale.. what about gasoline used for lawnmowers or non motorvehicle uses, is that a retroactive tax payment to the users of fuel sources intended for automotive use, for non automotive use, as money back from the state?

I'm geussing that's atleast a few million tax back every year.

you do not pay tax on it. The seller is charged tax. and this tax is passed on to the buyer.

much like with other goods .. I buy this doll for 1$ the seller charges .15 cents. I am not responsible to collect that tax the seller is.. if the seller does not charge me, they are required to pay come tax time. They are the ones responsible for collecting taxes owed not the buyer

As for the methane thing actually it is an amazing communal resource for gas usuages, china and india are leading these developments, but localy garabage dumps and sewage treatments plants are starting to monopolize on it. it takes approximately 10kg of human awaste / day to get a meaningful return, true human waste is not high compaired to animals such as pigs and chickens but it is still enough to get enough in groups and public facilities to pay for itself and then some.

p.p.s used with proper composting metehods, you also get high yeild fertalizer from the process of human waste refining. urine and fecal mater are two key sources of 'natural' growth from nature. We just happen to have a renewable source of energy from the processs, and a source to make more food from (urine is mostly water and urea (a fixed nitrogen fertalizer). feces meanwhile is organic matter.. which decays yeilding (methane) and leaving a rich soot. (sum animal dung primitively was actually used as a heating source.. and now atleast one prison in africa is feuling their prison from human waste)
