Why are you against Gay marriage?

Based on what exactly? I've NEVER seen any psychology paper implying that a mother causes homosexuality.

:tard:

Where you from? Mars?

I think you guys speak about what you don't know. You just prove it.

Could not resist replying to this idiotic series of comments. I have a degree in Psychology, my irate friend, and I can assure you that modern Pyschological positions DO NOT match what you state they do.

Not this his Anti-Gay rhetoric is correct, but you should actually know the law before rhyming it off as fact.

****************************
Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to equal protection and benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.
The courts have accepted that section 15 is to be interpreted broadly, and that “analogous” grounds, i.e., personal characteristics other than those listed, may also form the basis for discrimination against a group or an individual (Andrews v. Law Society of B.C.). In 1995, the view that sexual orientation is such an “analogous” ground, and therefore a prohibited ground of discrimination under the Charter, was confirmed by the Supreme Court of Canada in the Egan decision discussed below under the heading “Same-Sex Spouses.”
Relying on the Charter as the sole vehicle for the validation of equality rights may not provide a remedy in all cases. Even if discrimination on the ground of sexual orientation is recognized as a prima facie section 15 violation, a court may uphold the law as justifiable under section 1 of the Charter. Furthermore, the Charter’s constitutional guarantees apply only to governmental action, not private acts;

**********

So as a private act, him railing against Homosexual is perfectly legal.

I wasn't saying that he is breaking the law, because I don't know what the courts scope is when determining what a hate crime is. You pointed out section 15 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. What I posted was from the Canadian Human Rights Act, specifically the section dealing with hate messages 13.(1), and their transmission. Here it is if you want to read it:

It is a discriminatory practice for a person or a group of persons acting in concert to communicate telephonically or to cause to be so communicated, repeatedly, in whole or in part by means of the facilities of a telecommunication undertaking within the legislative authority of Parliament, any matter that is likely to expose a person or persons to hatred or contempt by reason of the fact that that person or those persons are identifiable on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination.

Is that so, I have a BA in Pyschology from the University of Windsor, an MA from the same University and a Diploma of Sacerdotal Ministry from Saint Andrews Seminary, so I do have some knowledge of the topic. And your professional qualifications in this area would be....???

And I have a question as well, what exactly do your comments have to do with homosexual "marriages"?

Read the thread if you can't understand.
And if you read the thread and you can,t understand, go tell hitler, he will do something bad with you.

Bull****. You have nothing. If you had anything but a book read on the subject you would know a lot of homosexual is sick because of their mom.

Although I do not subscribe to the theories which suggest homosexual inclinations are something a person is born with, I can faithfully assure you that there has not been any direct correlation to homosexual preference and childhood experiences with their mothers.

And I really am finished with you. I am not in the least interested in reading your childish insults.

ah, so I see... trolling, the net act of simply striking into a thread for the joy of riling people up. You have stated that this is a psych fact, yet refuse to show facts. You insult people who counter your view, and refuse to actually discuss. You are not worth the time of those in this forum who are here to actually discuss these issues in a calm rational manner.

If you come forward with ONE, even ONE actual psychology journal article which asserts what you are stating, I will once again listen to what you have to say. Until then, have a good night, and enjoy your trolling.

Well, this thread has exploded in the short time I was gone. This subject always seems to end up this way. I'm guessing PsyOp will have a timeout in the near future.

methinks that's a safe bet. if not, I don't think I want to be involved with the forum. it seems that people complain about others getting timeouts for less.

you have some psych courses in your background don't you tonington? what do you make of psyop's claims that homosexuality is a disease caused by mothers?
