U.S. Ambassador David Wilkins criticized Ottawa's efforts to have Maher Arar removed from a U.S. security watch list, saying the U.S. alone will decide who to let into the country.
Where is the proof against Arar? The Americans are putting him on terror watch. Why? Back up the claims!
We shouldn't have ever let Bush into the country because he was a drunk driver and has a record. Also, he was a coke head.
Absolutely right. If our gov't wanted to keep Bush out ,then so be it. By the same token the U.S. should be able to keep out who they want. The anti-bush crowd is once again blinded by thier own ignorant hatred.

I'm fairly sure that if the US started telling Canada who we should let in and who we shouldn't, these very same people would be up in arms. It's up to the US to decide who they let in; if they don't like Cat Stevens, too bad, but it's up to each country to make it's own rules. Day should just shut up about it. It makes us look stupid.
No, it makes the Americans look stupid because they are labeling someone as a threat without proof. They call themselves the model for democracy to the world, and they look like a dictatorship. They sent a man to a country knowing full well he would be tortured, with no proof at all. Now they wont admit to screwing up. They look like a nation run by fools.
Perhaps, but that's their prerogative. National security matters are taken very seriously and I doubt very much that the Administration will make decisions based on the whims of their neighbours. Day should know better than to think he could change their opinion by publicly challenging their decision. Personally I also would like to know what information they have to keep him on that list just for curiousities sake; as I said, I don't know why in hell he'd go back there anyways.
Somewhere they mentioned that he is a businessman and needs to travel to the US every now and then. I don't know what kind of business maybe we should check into that.
