I've always wondered about the clear implication of that statement that there in fact are other gods, we just have to keep this particular one at the top of the list and ignore the others. I've never seen the word "strange" in that citation either, the KJV at Deuteronomy 5:7 simply says, "Thou shalt have none other gods before me," and the Jerusalem Bible says the same thing in more modern English, "You shall have no gods except me."

good question..what id really like, if you wouldnt mind sanctus, is maybe if you could do what this person did and break each one down with a short explanation of what this means exactly. not tyrying to bait you, id really be interested..and no disrepsect to "look" if youre thinking of doing it, id rather have sanctus do it please.

is that why sanctus seems only to be online early in the morning? would he be busy doing stuff all day? im not trying to be stupid, but im not a church goer so what would a priest do all day besides doing his mass and stuff like that? i mean, i notice most of his posts are like really early and then nothing most of the day.i wondered if maybe he just dosent care? hah hah ha
seriously, im in the middle about this god stuff, but i am interested obviously. but with me, to be honest with ya, i find sanctus is pretty good explaining things. i dont always agree, but i am starting to respect his opinions anyway. does that make sense? shouldnt i be asking him stuff?just asking cos i dont want to be a pain in the you know what.

As I said in another thread, I find it's really ridiculous that all this crap isn't laid out clearly and concisely. The bible leaves waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much open to interpretation.

All the priests I know have little time for the internet but the catholic church in canada is prolly different than in the states......who knows........who cares. I have a hard time with people shoving their opinions down my throat. Im Pagan and I plan on staying that way. I tried christianity including catholocism. I told the parish priests I was being molested and I was told to quit tempting my step father! I was 10! Idiots. The christian god is unloving, hypocritical and hateful.........he caused wars, he allows abuse and he hates woman and children. Nice guy.

pagan sounds cool, been reading on that too. i know everyone has an opinion, but my thing with look(aj) is he puts ten million bible quotes in his answers and they just ramble on and on and on. he never seems to make sense to me cos its hard to follow what he says, but im sure hes a great guy. i wanted to know what sanctus explained cos he is a priest and i figure its right up his job description, know what i mean?
no, i get that stuff, i meant priestly stuff-what else do these guys do besides do their masses or services or whatever? i mean, lets say his job, should it take so much time???most masses ive had to go to are like around an hour and so than what would a priest be doing with himself in terms of job duties or whatever.

Pumpkin you dont have to read everyone. Skip the ones you cant deal with. I usually do but when every 3rd thread is on my salvation or lack of Im getting a bit.........overwhelmed. Im glad your Seeking, we are all seekers. Its how we make the path memerable in the getting to our destination. I ask myself before I sleep "Did you harm anyone today? Did you brighten anyones life in the last 24 hours you existed? Today Ive helped 3 souls, I can smile as I go off to sleep. My Deities within me can smile with me.
A god that ignores small children, that asks for human sacrifices is not a god I want in my life. You make your own choices but do so educated not browbeaten.

I was ribbing you, hun. I would imagine Sanc does like F. Henry here, studies, once in a while he travels to other parishes and countries, performs marriages and dunkings, etc. I know there are all kinds of priestly duties, I just can't list them all.
