So like I said , Russia has not attacked Europe with the goal of expansion . I never suggested that their armies didn’t ever fight . Yes they chased Hitler and Napoleons armies but other than WW2 didn’t retain property .
Putin was a joke .

Yes they fought the invading Germans back to Berlin . Who started that ? 1968 Soviet block countries come on . When did the French wake up with Russian soldiers on the outskirts of Paris ? Can’t say the same in Moscow about the French .
This, Ladies and Germs is what Stalin called, "a useful idiot." Or Putin, take your pick.

How about you . I see a bunch of border disputes , but other than WW2 pushing Hitler back to Berlin I don’t see Russian invading Europe with the intention of conquest . That is not the case in the other direction . NATO is nothing more than a big bureaucracy looking for a reason to hang on .

Didn't retain, or couldn't retain?

The decision was even more surprising because troops and equipment had already started to arrive in the country. It sent fresh waves of anxiety through European capitals and inside the Pentagon on Thursday about whether such moves could embolden Russia — and which ally might turn into the next target.

“We had no idea this was coming,” said one of the U.S. officials, adding that European and American officials have spent the last 24 hours on the phone trying to understand the decision and figure out if more surprises are coming.

The move follows Hegseth’s announcement this month that the Pentagon would withdraw 5,000 troops from bases in Germany. But that decision followed through on a threat Trump made after German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the U.S. was "humiliating" itself with the conflict in Iran.
The White House referred questions to the Pentagon, which defended the move as a carefully considered process. "The decision to withdraw troops follows a comprehensive, multilayered process that incorporates perspectives from key leaders in [U.S. military in Europe] and across the chain of command," said acting Pentagon press secretary Joel Valdez. "This was not an unexpected, last minute decision?”

If the US Military has no money, what would be cut first?

I’ve no idea & I’m only about a quarter of the way through the video, but if the US alone is 40% of all global military spending, and…

…if the above is accurate, that’s 25% of all global military spending that America can’t account for? Maybe it’s time for a garage sale. Do they make a smaller version of the F18 that I could use as a coffee table?

Can't or won't account for?
