Will Mark Carney (as an unelected PM) have a seat in Parliament?

Now that the Liberals have elected Mark Carney as their leader, and in so doing anointed him as prime minister, it’s a good time to look beyond the gushing reviews of those fawning over him.
His supporters point to his impressive resume as governor of both the Bank of Canada and Bank of England. In the U.K., however, the reviews are less enthusiastic.

(Which Really isn’t saying much….)

“Fundamentally, Carney is one of those people who think a small group of experts can run things better than a noisy, vibrant democracy.”

The gospel of St. Mark embraces Net Zero, a costly effort to reduce greenhouse gases. Right now, Canada needs to invest in defence spending, pipelines and energy infrastructure.

We don’t need Carney to send our tax dollars down a woke rabbit hole. Trusting the Liberals on carbon taxes is like Charlie Brown trusting Lucy is going to hold the football for him.
Liberal leader and prime-minister designate Mark Carney, having been the world’s leading corporate lobbyist for global carbon taxes for years, now says he’s scrapping outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s “consumer carbon tax.”

But what he’s doing is folding it into Trudeau’s industrial carbon tax and adding a second carbon tax — a tariff that Canadians will pay on many imported goods — misleadingly described as a “border adjustment mechanism.”

Carney is now supposed to act for the good of the country after lobbying to defund and drive out of existence Canada’s oil and gas companies, steel companies, car companies and any other sector dependent on fossil fuels. He’s done this through the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), which he founded in 2021?

He believes that the world “must achieve about a 50 per cent reduction in emissions by 2030” and “rapidly scale climate solutions to provide cleaner, more affordable, and more reliable replacements for unabated fossil fuels.” (By “unabated” he means usage without full carbon capture, which in practice is virtually all cases.) And since societies don’t seem keen on doing this, Carney created GFANZ to pressure banks, insurance companies and investment firms to cut off financing for recalcitrant firms.

He is best positioned to fight against Trump don’t you know ?

It is going to be an interesting first day when Parliament resumes. Carnage can't even vote on the non confidence motion that is sure to come quickly.

I can’t see Parliament resuming for that exact reason…well, that’s one of the reasons anyway…’cuz has that Green Slush Fund & its order by the speaker of the house to release unredacted documents either gone away or been adhered to by the Liberals yet??? Different leader, but same Liberal government…. so can you imagine the questions that would be asked in Parliament directed to the visitor’s gallery which would be the closest Carney could get unless invited specifically, etc…?
He will have NDP backing same old same old .
Jagmeet is falling over himself, trying to offer up his support to stall an election until a further date. The NDP pockets are not deep, if Carney/Trudeau call an election quickly to avoid Parliament and unscripted questions at any cost, & aim for the shortest possible election period (I think the shortest it can be is something like 36 days) to again avoid answering any unscripted questions…the Greens, NDP, & maybe even the Liberal might have a tough time trying to field candidates in all 343 electoral ridings in Canada.

No the scandal has not died but it sure is some nuclear scale election ammo.

This is the result of the "Eco-Fascism" Carney espouses.

4 of Canada's biggest banks leave Mark Carney-led climate initiative

Banks say they can go it alone to help the push toward achieving net-zero emissions

Its doesnt need to. A trip to the GG's office to dissolve Parliament and call an election will be coming quickly.

Liberals only have one shot and its now while they are polling well. If they wait, theyre fucked.
Well, they're the ones that banned all the good repeaters.

Guess they're paying for that now.

You probably wanna temper that steel real good.

Y'all certainly got the bellows for it. Just whisper "Trudeau" and that forge'll be white-hot in half a minute.
Yup. The steel mill 8km away does 300 metric tonnes an hour except on Tuesday when the furnaces are stripped and rebuilt in 6-7 hours.

Specialty steel at 60t an hour.
