Yep, so am I. And wind, and tidal, and hydro, and tying li'l teeny generators to the tails of compulsively wagging little dogs.
Whatever works. I'm not religious.
Wherever works is the key . If it works people will adapt and adopt the new technology.
I once actually won an argument over nuclear power. Rare. Usually you can marshal every fact in the universe. . . makes no difference. As the saying goes "One convinced against their will/Is of the same opinion still."
In this case, however, I pointed out that over 400,000 deaths per year are attributed to the air-pollution problems from fossil-burning power plants. I closed my argument with "So the normal operation of fossil-burning power plants kills more people every week than the "disasters" at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl put together (this was before Fukushima)."
To my surprise, a couple of days later my interlocutor came to me and said "I can't get that out of my mind, and I'm re-thinking nuclear." I commended her for her open-mindedness.

In Germany, where apparently, they have a lot of windmills, they have gone 12 days without wind in one area of the country. So needless to say, they're hurting. I'm hoping they have fossil fuels for back up!! It's cold outside!
That was only a prairie thing. We never had a problem with them in BC.

They are committing so many “own goals” one almost feels sorry for them. And a shining example of the government’s incompetence can be found in the actions of Minister of the Environment Steven Guilbeault.
Trudeau putting Guilbeault in the post of Minister of the Environment appeared to be a giant middle finger to Alberta. One can only wonder what a different path the federal Liberals would pursue if the oil and gas industry was based in Quebec.
