Your opinion - Do you care about the New King of England?

I was hanging out with a friend of mine from the USA who was visiting and he was genuinely curious about King Charles and his thought was that Canadians are all excited about the new King.

I told him, honestly, I don't really care and don't think about it.

He was shocked and really though that Canadians cared a whole lot about the monarchy.

But it got me to thinking, am I alone in not really caring about them?

I did care, sort of, when Liz was alive.

Likely if/when William takes over, I'll care.

Charles? Not so much.

As each year goes by I care less and less about the monarchy. I respected QEII. I don't respect King Chuck and Queen Horseface at all. But he beats TrueDope's face on the money.

Making Harry Governor General would have helped to remain relevant with Canadians. Sounds like he will need a job soon. Might have kept Andrew out of trouble as well.

As it is now, I can not buy shares on the London Stock Exchange through a Canadian institution and $250 per trade if I can while $9.99 all day long in New York city. And they are arguing about cheese but wrong thread for that.

I saw a recent video cl8p of the new PM telling Charles that he, the PM, was able to form a govt.
Charles looked really bad. His suit looked way too big on him, and he looked a century old.
I am no fan of royalty but Charles is only human after all is said and done.

The Shiny Hats of client states are of little interest. Everybody needs a hobby, and I suppose it's no sillier than collecting pewter Civil War figurines.

America has no Monarchy...so Hollywood becomes the replacement.

And no, I have no interest in King Charles or American celebrities. I like old sports figures. I met Frank Mahovlich in an elevator one Christmas and I was thrilled! Also chatted with Gary Carter back in the day on a trip to San Diego.

I wish you as much grace and peace as you can find
Thanks T-Bones.

You aren't psychic...you couldn't have known. Just wondering if you should dial it back a notch. I'm not your mother, though. Just throwing it out there. 'Style' was always your Ace in the Hole. ;)

Thanks all for the kind sentiments. My head is just messed up these days.

Anyhoo, enough about me...back to the topic of the thread. And it's a resounding "NO"...I don't care much about King Tampon.
