Funny how it is okay for tv crews to zoom in on women's breasts any time they are barely exposed at televised sporting events. Doesn't matter if they are 60 years old. Arms up with a little bounce is all it takes.

I like that the Elks have given McLeod Bethel Thompson and incentive to pass for the most yards and tds. Good chance he tops both categories and ensures an aggressive style of play. Picking the Elks to make the playoffs.

Wondering if Janarion Grant will have a burr up his butt about not being re-signed by the Bombers. Could be a few on that list.

Another good move by the Argos though who have been adding some nice veteran pieces with Rasheed Bailey, Ka'Deem Carey already on board.

Disastrous for Toronto the MOP is being held out over questionable motives given there were no criminal charges involved. Why the CFL would commission an 87 page report based on the filing of a civil lawsuit is strange timing IMO.

Also noticed B.C. just signed a guy who had just finished serving a one year suspension for gambling which conflicts with Shawn Lemon's life time ban.

Biggest problem the CFL has is trouble losing with dignity.

Serious question. Have you noticed any pattern in the players who are poor losers? Like, predominantly Canadian or Yank?
Canadians tend to be bigger whiners at the B.O.D. level and like to make rules that work in their favour rather than man up and play on a level playing field.

Wade Miller is the worst and meddles far more than he should. Bombers main strategy is to get guys kicked out of the league plus a soft schedule and multiple evasionary tactics to circumvent the salary cap. Officiating is brutally biased.

The American players that come north are usually humble guys looking for a chance. They come to play. Many stay after their careers are over. Once in a while you get a Duron Carter who makes the whole league better by having fun until they don't let him anymore.

Hoping the Riders did not spend too much (of course they did) on developing the new logo and jersey. Adding a wheat spike to the S must have taken a lot of thought. Had to also look up the word "obsidian" and find the closest synonyms to be "sunless" and "unlit". Thinking it has to be some form of green. Good way to suck more money out of the fans though. My guess is this one does not take off.

Riders biggest issue is the man at the top imo. I'm sure he is a nice guy.

Obsidian is volcanic glass. It often has a greenish tinge, usually dark. Pretty good for tool-making, though not as good as flint.

sounds to me like trying too hard to be kewl
Gotta say, one of the things I like about American sports is they aren't coming up with a new uniform design every year to milk the fans.

I settled on getting jerseys of the immortals. John Chick's #97 will always be clearly a Riders fan jersey. Henry Burris's #1 will remind Redblacks fans of the long-ago times the RBs weren't a bad joke.

Every MLB team is doing a "City Connect" jersey this year. 29/30 of those clubs are in the States. Its $$$$ bonanza. For Jays City Connect jersey it's only $229 + tax.

Some good odds for week one on Proline with Toronto 5.5 pt underdogs opening at home against B.C. and Montreal getting +6.5 pts in Winnipeg. Moneyline pays 3.25 for an Als win and 2.90 for Toronto to win at home. Both good bets as Toronto will be looking to make a statement and B.C. has a few too many new guys right now.

Montreal should win easily and is flat out a better team than the Bombers who lost 6 starters from last season. Bombers will get their usual calls from the refs but I don't think it will be enough. I took the 3.25 for the Als to win but then also took them with the points to hedge the bet. Totally possible I could lose both bets but I don't see Winnipeg blowing them out so willing to take the chance. Montreal will be looking to make a statement as well. Bombers rested their players all training camp so we'll see if that strategy pays off.

Hamilton at Calgary and Saskatchewan at Edmonton are both 1.5 pt games and low odds to win outright. Bet $10 and win $12 if you are right. This year I am passing on those games as I was cancelling out my wins betting every game. Hoping to buy a new car with my winnings.

You will either buy a car or be unable to afford a bus pass. Sports are extremely unpredictable. The only way I would bet on them if I had access to a time machine.

I'd like to know if Shawn Lemon won his bet or if his team lost that day that would cast doubt on his commitment to play well for the team. If so I am thinking we would have heard of it.

Bottom line it is a tricky situation to accuse someone of something unethical when personal history has shown indifference to similar situations dependent on individual agenda.

Why now is the CFL making a stand on gender based violence? To gain an advantage on the field seems like the real reason imo.
