Do they need a Union ?
Where will they protest or picket when they currently work from home (?) and how many days/week would they do it? 5 days per week for 3 hours/day and claim it’s 40hrs/week? From their own driveways?

Unions representing tens of thousands of federal workers warn they are planning a “summer of discontent” to force the federal government to back off plans to compel workers to come to their offices for a minimum three days a week.

The four unions say they were angry when the new hybrid work rules were announced last week, but have since started to mobilize and fight. They are asking the government to keep the status quo, with workers coming to the office for a minimum of two days a week.

They told a press conference in Ottawa Wednesday that they will fight the new rules through legal actions, as well as through a tide of grievances from workers, but did not offer details. They promised more measures will be announced later.

Nathan Prier, president of the Canadian Association of Professional Employees, told the news conference that Ottawa is asking workers to spend more time in federal workplaces that are a mess.

“Nobody can find a desk. Nobody has a locker. We’re talking about offices that aren’t safer or cleaner than they were before telework. Bedbugs. Bats. Mice. Cockroaches. Mould. Odours. Poor air quality. Missing or broken equipment. Trash littering workstations. These aren’t conditions fit for federal employees,” he said??? Jesus…what did they do before the Wuhan Flu???

If they wear masks, prove they are healthy to eat at restaurants and shop during work hours, cancel vacations and religion by zoom they can work at home like they did during covid.

Arguably, productivity for our civil servants has declined over the last eight years, but specifically and dramatically over the term from the beginning of of Covid until the present….with their numbers skyrocketing in order to do less with more especially over the last half a decade.

How much of that is directly from so many not going into work to complete an 8-ish hour day 4-5 times/week, but are at home completing a 2-3 hour day most days and claiming it’s an 8hr day+???

If they actually came into work, and did their full jobs, could we easily remove 25% of them & still have more productivity than what we have now (?) & still have room to improve things further with the remainder?

Hiring the privileged class was a mistake in the first place.

In my next life I hope I come back as an overweight Caribe lesbian.
