Didn’t see it but looks like Mariners fell apart like a cheap cigar .Gotta love Robbie Ray. LOL
I don’t seem to remember my Montreal Expo’s winning . Mariners look good going forward , their pitching is great and young . Robbie Ray maybe made himself dispensable but should have a good return . But moods to the Astros they have been on top all year and they showed why .And that's the sweep. Longest scoreless game in MLB history. Astros win 1-0 in 18.
Also was good to see BeanBall Castilo give up the winning 3 run HR in game 2.
Now the Mariners can sink back into oblivion. The ONLY MLB franchise to never appear in a World Series. And one of 6 not to have won one.
They won as the Washington Nationals.I don’t seem to remember my Montreal Expo’s winning . Mariners look good going forward , their pitching is great and young . Really must have missed that .They won as the Washington Nationals.
They beat the Houston Astros in 2019.Really must have missed that .
They would of had to beat the Mariners .Of course, the Expos probably would have won it as the Expos in 1994 making it 3 years in a row of a Canadian World Series winner had their not been that strike.
Right. The Mariners record in 1994 was a very typical 49-63 (.438).They would of had to beat the Mariners .
the year of the strike ? Going by recollection they were 1 game back of Oakland when the strike happened .Right. The Mariners record in 1994 was a very typical 49-63 (.438).
That is the record straight from mlb.com. mlb.com re-arranged the teams in current division format so GBL is hard to figure out. It looked like the west was pretty weak that year though. So they indeed may have been in it.the year of the strike ? Going by recollection they were 1 game back of Oakland when the strike happened .
I just remember how pissed I was at baseball for that strike , the Expos were dominating and the Mariners charging with a chance . Then nothing , stopped watching for a long time after that .That is the record straight from mlb.com. mlb.com re-arranged the teams in current division format so GBL is hard to figure out. Same here. I used to do 10-12 games attendance per year. Haven't really gotten back to that level.I just remember how pissed I was at baseball for that strike , the Expos were dominating and the Mariners charging with a chance . Then nothing , stopped watching for a long time after that .
