Tucker Carlson. Now didn't his lawyer stand up in court while defending him and say "No reasonable person would take what he says as true"? Seems to me that Levant has mounted a similar defense in the past. Nobody is infringing on his right to free speech, just his right to lay claim to the title of "journalist". He's a snake-oil salesman, in it for the money and nothing else.
Name one persons in the legacy media that isn’t in it for the money ? Where in our charter of rights and no responsibilities does it say the Prime Ministers office decides job descriptions ?
Given Trudeau's obvious loathing disdain for free speech, admiration and aspiration for censorship, and his media "bailouts" to media entities who "play ball", his future motives should be give a large degree of distrust and questioning. It is well within the bounds of probability that this aspiring authoritarian will at some point try and bring in some type of official Liberal government controlled "media license".
Trudeau has already tried to exclude certain media organizations from the last leaders debate scrums. Unfortunately for him, his efforts were overturned by the courts. It's pretty obvious to anyone with an ounce of insight that this is just an extension of this effort to shut down unfriendly media outlets and clearly shows his contempt for media organizations that he cannot control.
I get the feeling this will be like virtually everything else so far in Trudeau's governing tenure, anyone questioning his insane motives will be dismissed out of hand as conspiracy nutter today, and tomorrow we will all be shaking our heads and questioning how we ended up where we did.
So what's the actual story here?

Can my dogs be journalists? At times they can be pretty effective communicators.
The old dog could care less (he’s semi-retired), but the young one just wants to please. She’d enjoy journalism with very little encouragement I’m sure.

Little. Been a weird day. Storming & all. The dogs have communicated to me that they don’t wanna go outside & I don’t blame them.

OK. I’ve watched to Video in the OP now. I recognize Tucker Carlson’s name & that’s about it. I’m really no fan of either Ezra Levant or Justin Trudeau either.
On that note, in the clip I watched from the OP, did either this Tucker Carlson or Ezra Levant lie? Did Justin Trudeau do the things that Ezra Levant claims that he’s done? Are we suppose to not hear the message based upon the messenger because we don’t like them or because he doesn’t have the Liberal approved licence?
Levant has a long history of playing fast and loose with the truth, and it has landed him in court a number of times. He's not being silenced, he's just being denied subsidies meant for real journalists, not hacks. He just likes to get a big pout on when he can't get a seat at the grown-ups' table.

Ok, & I’m no fan of Levant or Trudeau. In the video in the OP, did Levant lie or play fast & lose with the truth? Sounded like it wasn’t Just about subsidies, but access to events that other Liberal Licensed journalists could participate in being a big part of the issue.
Trudeau plays fast & lose with the truth and outright lies to us all and has been caught repeatedly. I’m sure at times he also tells the truth. Does that mean that Trudeau should also be denied his livelihood, or should also be disqualified from ever getting a journalism license in the future?
