As I said "in MyOpinion". What happens? Who knows. Do you want to fuck with Military?
Do you really think the govt and military want ANY kind of confrontation where the optics would be 100% horrible on the part of govt and military? Imagine the global headlines, "Canadian military assaults/shoots protestors in Ottawa." It wouldn't matter who started the violence, the simple fact the military would be called out to quash a legal protest resulting in violence, is a black eye I don't ever want to see Canada have.
I don't think anyone in govt is interested in being the catalyst for an Ohio State kind of incident here.

Besides, even ranking officers in the Canadian military are starting to speak out over Trudeau's completely incompetent mishandling of this whole affair by trying to demonize everyone taking part in the protest and his utter refusal to talk to any them about their concerns.

Does the Canadian Military want to fuck with Canadian Citizens? Is that why they enlisted?
The Canadian Military does as it is told to do. They do lots of things for and against citizens wherever they are told to go. Trudeau 1 .0 made them do things..... ya think Trudeau 2.0 is beyond this?
Why a person enlists is personal and up to them.

I think this sort of military intervention occurs world wide. Even our neighbours down south have had this happen.
I never said it would, I just said in my opinion, it could and would save face for local police and RCMP. Nobody gives a rats ass about the Canadian military anyway so they got nothing to win or lose.
Having said that, most American and other country's police forces are better equipped than our police and Canadian Military to confront civil unrest.

What we need to do is just put 'so-called' in front of every right-wing viewpoint. It gives it that contextual flavour that is the real spice to the meat.

Peace?
So-called peace.

Freedom?
So-called freedom.

Protest?
So-called protest.

It just makes much more sense now.
Talk about trolls. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: So I guess protesting is a right-wing viewpoint now, huh?
As for Freedom, Apparently your idea of freedom is bowing to some goof who couldn't even win the popular vote, holding onto a party with a barely squeaked out minority, running the country like a tin pot dictator. Don't be a boot licker, grow a spine.

Other than that, what people need to do is just read your name as "mentalloss" and then they'll understand why you say the stupid shit you say.

Apparently, you didn't understand.

When you put 'so-called' in front of something, it questions the legitimacy of its message.

That's why the protest is so-called. It's not really a protest because 'no mandates' and 'overthrow the government' are not legitimate terms.

Uhhhh, yeah. Thanks Captain Obvious. Why do you think I referenced Ohio Sate. And yes, this sort of intervention does occur worldwide, but when's the last time you saw a supposedly democratic nation literally call out the army to quash a legal protest, other than the Ohio State incident?
I never said it would, I just said in my opinion, it could and would save face for local police and RCMP. Nobody gives a rats ass about the Canadian military anyway so they got nothing to win or lose.
It wouldn't save one scrap of face for them except amongst those who have fallen for his cult of personality.
Having said that, most American and other country's police forces are better equipped than our police and Canadian Military to confront civil unrest.
It can be a fine line between having an effective police force and having a police state.

Again, you're being manipulated by a news media that's been happily lying to people literally for decades. A handful of miscreants in a protest does NOT make the protest about them.
But I see you don't object to being ruled, not led, RULED by some goof who couldn't even win the popular vote, holding onto a party with a barely squeaked out minority, running the country like a tin pot dictator.

So I guess the French Revolution wasn't a legit protest? The American Revolution wasn't a legit protest? Just because you like the taste of Groper's dick doesn't mean the protest in Ottawa isn't legitimate.

And it's why the "siege" is so-called.

Glass houses, ya know?

Yes, they were legitimate protests because they had legitimate terms.

These are not. They have not made legitimate terms. "Overthrow the government in 2022 because I don't like needle" is a joke and that's why they aren't being treated seriously.

How?

Your use of the term "seige" to describe this is ridiculous.

Unless you don't know what "seige" means, in which case it's just ignert.

I'm saying that characterizing this as a siege is not a mischaracterization of equal value to calling it a peaceful protest.

It certainly is much closer to being interpreted as a siege than a peaceful protest.

And it is unquestionably an occupation.

Ah. Well, that clarifies it.

You don't know what a siege is.

Thanks.

No, it's an occupation. The two are not synonymous no matter how hard you try to justify it. Did the so-called 99% "siege" Wall Street or merely occupy it?
And it is unquestionably an occupation.
Yep, an occupation by Canadian citizens on Canadian soil. Oh my, we are in desperate danger. Maybe the Chinese will come "liberate" us if we ask them really nice. :ROFLMAO:

noun
  1. a military operation in which enemy forces surround a town or building, cutting off essential supplies, with the aim of compelling the surrender of those inside.
"Verdun had withstood a siege of ten weeks"

Most of that is on point.

So. . . the fact that this is not a military operation and essential supplies are not being cut off just escapes you?

Do you think the truckers aim to compel the population of Ottawa to surrender? If so, to whom?

You are not significantly different from the shrieking morons who call taxes "slavery."
