Dear supporter,
You’ll never guess who’s meeting with Ottawa politicians just in case it needs another subsidy. Why it’s Bombardier, of course!
Last week, Bombardier’s new CEO, Éric Martel, confirmed to journalists that his company was in talks with governments in Quebec and Ottawa so that, should it need a bailout, bureaucrats and ministers are aware and can dump your money into its coffers.
While Martel assures us it doesn’t need taxpayers’ cash right now, we have enough experience dealing with Bombardier to know that won’t stop politicians from subsidizing it. Back in 2016, Bombardier was assuring everyone that it didn’t need a bailout just a few months before getting $372 million dollars worth of taxpayers’ money from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government.
That’s why we need your help.
We need to get ahead of the issue and make sure that Bombardier can’t get its own special bailout at taxpayers’ expense.
Please sign our PETITION telling the Canadian government not to put one more taxpayers’ dollar into Bombardier:
https://www.taxpayer.com/petitions/no-special-bailout-for-bombardier
Please remember to share this petition with your friends and neighbours.
Thank you so much for your support. Together, we can stop governments from wasting more money on Bombardier.
Yours,
- Renaud, Todd, Shannon and the entire Canadian Taxpayers Federation team.
PS: Unlike Bombardier, the Canadian Taxpayers Federation has never received any subsidies, is not currently receiving subsidies, and will never request any subsidy. We rely solely on donations from taxpayers like you. Please chip in on our secure website: https://www.taxpayer.com/donate
PPS: Bombardier and the African country of Mozambique have something in common (spoiler alert: it's not good). Find out all about it on Episode #11 of the Canadian Taxpayers Podcast.
