‘It broke my heart’: B.C. man’s brother and cousin killed amid U.S. protest violence

A Vancouver Island man says his heart is broken, after his brother and cousin were killed amid chaos in Chicago over the weekend.
Chicago was one of several U.S. cities where demonstrations over the in-custody death of George Floyd, a black man, escalated to violence.
Dionte Jelks said his brother had gone to pick up his cousin and then drive back to his mother's house when it happened.

"They were stopped at a streetlight and there was mayhem and chaos going on on the South Side of Chicago, and all of a sudden a blue SUV pulled up and shot 'em," Jelks told CKNW's Jill Bennett Show.
"Among all the chaos, they were just shot dead right there in the car."
According to the Chicago Sun Times, the shooting happened around 1:40 p.m. CDT Sunday in Calumet Heights, on Chicago's South Side.
An investigation into the killings is underway, but Jelks said he hasn't been informed of any suspects so far...……..More

Ukrainians and blacks have plenty in common. Slavery, persecution, oppression, a couple genocides as recent as 80 years ago and now back to slavery again. African Americans have it good in comparison.

Newsflash: So-called anti-racists get all racist about George Floyd's murder assuming it was racially motivated and not just some 'roid rager engaging in "normal" police brutality. And then to double down on their stupidity they blame Trump for something that happened in a Democrat controlled city in a state that's been a Democrat bastion for 100 years, with the powers that be in that state doing NOTHING about the numerous prior complaints against Chauvin.



Meanwhile, so-called anti-racists on the left in Canada applauded Prince Groper's racist gun ban. While the nation's highly questionable Chief Public Health Officer declares that protesting Floyd's murder in groups of hundreds or thousands is perfectly safe during this pandemic, as long as you don't yell. But don't you DARE go to the park for a relaxing day of enjoying the weather and risk spreading Covid or else you're an irresponsible, anti-social jerk. Seriously, you can't make this shit up.



Great distraction for Team Groper though. Pay attention to the abuse of power by 4 cops in a foreign country so you'll avoid noticing Prince Groper abusing what little power he has while working hard to gain more power to abuse.

Chauvin had numerous complaints about him before he murdered George. Yet not a SINGLE Democrat official in Minneapolis OR Minnesota did anything about it. Now suddenly known woman beater Keith Ellison is seeking "justice" for George Floyd. Where was he when all the complaints had been filed against Chauvin? Where was Waltz? Where was the mayor of Minneapolis? Where was Amy Klobuchar? NONE of them wanted to do anything about the complaints, including those who COULD have done something. And that is something that is becoming more and more entrenched in party politics; Drop the ball, badly, and then blame the other guy or anyone else you can, except yourself of course, for what happens after.
