Pretty sure Bill Blair said there were 2 used that are on the new list.

Of course it would require that you actually knew something about something.

Christ, he banned 1500 different rifles (& two websites, and a locksmith, but that’s a different story) yesterday so I’d be surprised that at least one wasn’t on this new list....

So can you tell us what type of weapon the Nova Scotia shooter used ? Can Angus Reid ? Pretty amazing the RCMP have not released that information yet Canadians and Angus Reid want them banned .
Not the point. They should be banned anyhow. NO ONE needs that kind of weapon for personal use........or even........and this is a stretch......personal security.

As I understand it....the weapons banned are for military use ..Why should any civilian carry such a weapon?? Isn't their purpose to kill as many and as fast as possible?? NO civilian needs that kind of weapon. Does the civilian not have enough guns to choose from......if they have to have a gun??

I see you're still a stupid and ignorant twat, just like 3 years ago.

Nope. Sorry.

Every military in the world uses, as its primary infantry rifle, a weapon that has selectable semi- and fully-automatic fire. All of them. The M4. The FAL. The AK-47. The Galil.

I presume civilian ownership of such weapons is forbidden in Canada. In the U.S., it is allowed, but only of weapons manufactured or imported before 1986, and only under very tight restrictions.

Truth be told.....I am not really interested in guns and all that they entail. I have seen enough of the damage they do in ER..........and given that I am humanity oriented..... , my views about guns are what they are. Personally.....I want NO part of them.

If the info I had about those assault rifles was wrong......... then I have to re consider my sources.and I stand corrected.

If you saw (see) the damage of guns in emergency, you would know and understand they are mostly committed by hand guns that have been heavily regulated in Canada since the 1930’s and are predominantly perpetrated by immigrant and on immigrant gang members . But hey if it saves just one life , right ?

And I can appreciate where you're coming from there. If you want no part of them nobody is forcing you to own one. But what you DO want is to force other people not to have them.

I'm pissed off about texting and driving. My special needs son was run down by a hit and run texting driver. However, I don't seriously think cell phones or personal motor vehicles should be banned.

I've been shot at twice. Once on purpose and once by accident that was NOT a result of negligence. I still don't see the need for pointless bans. Like I said OB, look up the stats. 2017 was the worst year for homicide by long gun (it may have been 2018) with 65. That includes single shot and semi-auto. There's no break down between them so it's pretty safe to assume it's fewer than 65 killed with a semi-automatic rifle. Then consider that statistically around 50% of all homicides in any given year in Canada are gang related, we can assume that about half the homicides by semi-auto rifle were gang related. So the govt is spending $600 million to try to prevent something like fewer than 37 deaths a year. While they make money on the deaths of 23,000 people who die of second-hand smoke every year. Do the govt's priorities not seem f*cked up in the public health and safety regard?

One last thing, the .50 BMG is still not prohibited in Canada. This is a weapon that can put big holes in people up to two miles away.
