Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

But not nearly as many hospitalizations as the flu, go figure.
And 80,000 died In 2017–2018.

Hey Walter, how you been?

So your (failed) point is that 80,000 people died in 2018? Tell me Walter, was that not during the entire year? I think it is. You see, the difference is that this "just the flu" has killed over 60,000 in just a couple of months. Do the math Walter, and figure what those numbers would translate to over the course of a year.

This is no more virulent than influenza which is currently running unfettered in all 50 states and all 10 provinces. Just doesn't have a sexy name. This is a lot of hype about nothing. But go ahead and carry on panicking over nothing.

BTW: if you see someone with a mask on, feel free to laugh at them. They are ineffective against this virus and even if they were they expose the eyes which is a prime contagion point.

Information becomes clearer over time. And the information available at the time was coming straight from the Chinese government.

Oh I see.

The Chinese government was saying it was all hype?

Pretty sure that was just you.

While Trump minimizes the toll, government orders 100,000 new body bags
The federal government placed orders for well over 100,000 new body bags to hold victims of COVID-19 in April, according to internal administration documents obtained by NBC News. The orders came even as President Donald Trump projected that the U.S. death toll from the coronavirus might not exceed 50,000 or 60,000 people.

The order is just one illustration of how Trump’s sunny confidence about the nation’s readiness to reopen is in conflict with the views of administration officials who are quietly preparing for a far worse outcome. The documents show that officials remain worried about insufficient availability of coronavirus tests and the possibility of a “catastrophic resurgence” of COVID-19.

No, of course not.

Yeah you would.

Because greater spread, greater infection rates and now possible Kawasaki disease in kids linked to Covid, an uptick in strokes in young adults who get Covid...

And when you think about the after effects of people who end up with Covid, recovery from it is going to take months/years due to the damage it does on a body.
