yes..could have. IF UNCHECKED.........and if no mitigation had taken place.

so do your part in preventing the spread and things will level off .......but the longer people push the boundaries.........the longer it will take to get it under some kind of control.

Looks like some Republicans are finding their balls and lady balls by pushing back at Trump over his claim of total authority to reopen the economy:

Fluff piece. Anyone aware of the Govt levels knows its ultimately up to the State to decide. It's the same here with Provinces having the direct say on Provincial affairs.

Tru and Tru could have Fed workers back to work as they see fit.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

'Could do' is of no value.

The various strains of typhoid or bubonic plague 'could' come back and 'could' eradicate 30% of the population.

PS - you're welcome to insert what ever percentage of certain you like as this is a 'could' scenario, any number is as valid as the next
Projections have their place ....they are based on certain data and interpreted by those with the know how.....in the medical /science world. They are not hard facts and not intended to be.

The Feds also decide the fate of international travel.

Did you see him aggressively defend his "total authority"?? That was one super bad "press conference. He was just spoiling for a fight.....with who ever was in immediate target range. Deplorable. His verbal cruelty is beyond belief. The only reliable source of information..is the Doctor......

The point is that Trump does not have absolute authority over each individual state.

Oh yes, I watched the whole thing. "Orange Man Bad" was super-sized pissed. His unhinged anger filled that entire room. It was both troubling and hysterical to see him have his big boy meltdown. And it was "can see it from space" obvious that the only reason Fauci was there was to placate the Prez by eating his own words he spoke a day earlier, which he was no doubt instructed to do so.

When somebody is President of Russia or China, the authority is total.

When somebody is President of the United States, the authority is constrained by the judiciary, Congress, governors, bureaucrats, media...

Once again Trump dreams of Putin’s power.

Trump on Twitter this morning, reminding Dem's of his authority. The first two responses were perfect and so I included them:
