Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

but most of us will survive this virus.
*******

Yes but which strain??

8 strains of the coronavirus are circling the globe. Here's what clues they're giving scientists.

Some obviously more deadly than the other, and you can get reinfected with a different strain

So after your infected once, get permanent lung damage, will you survive the next infection

Covid 19 coronavirus: Washington Post - New Zealand isn't just flattening the curve, it's squashing it'
New Zealand's cautious optimism over its battle against coronavirus is now front and centre of the world, with the influential Washington Post reporting "a triumph of science and leadership".
Under the headline, "New Zealand isn't just flattening the curve. It's squashing it", Post journalist and Kiwi Anna Fifield has outlined the political, social and health measures taken by the Government over the past month - including the level 4 lockdown and the early success indicators.
Fifield, the newspaper's Beijing bureau chief who is back in New Zealand for a time, reported a "a group of influential New Zealanders" had urged Jacinda Ardern to move to level 4 soon after the Government announced the new alert system………./
he Washington Post piece reports on the "collective purpose" of New Zealand, as it tackles the pandemic - from the halls of power, where National has said it won't be campaigning on the Government's response, to the person on the street who is able to dob in any breaches of the lockdown.
It also praises Ardern's approach and reports on incidents such as Health Minister David Clark's lockdown breaches.
"From the earliest stages, Ardern and her team have spoken in simple language: Stay home. Don't have contact without anyone outside your household 'bubble.' Be kind. We're all in this together," wrote Fifield.
Otago University Professor Michael Baker told the Post the lockdown and response were "a triumph of science and leadership".
"Jacinda approached this decisively and unequivocally and faced the threat," Baker told the Post. "Other countries have had a gradual ramp-up, but our approach is exactly the opposite."
New Zealand had not only tried to flatten the curve but stamp it out entirely, he said.

Good for them. The New Zealanders have learned well from their main export.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

We were taught (100 years ago) to use "fewer" for numbers and "less" for quantities like sugar, manure, etc.
A general rule is fewer goes with plurals and less goes with singulars. And there are always exceptions to the rule.

..as prescribed by "I am not a Doctor-Trump)

People are listening to him. and trying it. If folks start getting serious side effects or die from it........he will probably deny having said any of it.

I cannot believe that the medical profession is not outraged and complaining about this unprofessional, unethical and irresponsible conduct. The lunatic has no clue......and just wants to play hero. Yet he refuses to use a mask ....

But then he is a self described "cheer leader"...........so expectations must be adapted accordingly.

(reddie alert......right, Wally??;-)

NO ..not stupid Doctors or researchers.

Stupid Trump for playing Doctor and encouraging people to take a certain medication. ...that has not fully tested for this virus. He says he is not a doctor and then pushes the drug..........by saying"try it". It is a very powerful drug.......you don't just "try it"

It is NOT his job to promote an untested......or even a tested drug.

He said no such thing. He said chloroquine may be a good therapy and thousands of MD’s agree and prescribe the treatment.

John Prine, the Mark Twain of American song, dead at 73 from this horrible decease.
