Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

that is the detail I was looking for. Thanks My goodness. It is a lot worse than "similar to the flue". Which is many people who did not experience it......say it is like. Thank goodness you are ok now. Do you have any residual issues in your lungs. It apparently leaves a specific kind of lung tissue damage .........or can.

Not that I know of. Breathing for 8 days hurt, primarily on my left side when I took a deep breath.

Sometimes still does.

I'm still very careful, using wipes on my hands, steering wheel and surfaces in the truck.

Even when I pump fuel I wipe down the key pad before using :lol: silly I know, but...

It's that .1% that gets ya. ;)

Dead people laying in the streets was the first clue.

How would you feel about Canada selling $3T in bonds in the US to pay off China to get out from under their thumb?

I'll add that to the list of suggestions I'm hearing from other friends, pete. Two of them being for countries - every country in the world or it won't work - to start printing money. The other is to shut the stock markets down - period. No trading. No chance of speculation. Spend what you must to keep the economy afloat and deficits be damned.

Another friend believes we should start sheltering communities here in BC. Put a barrier up at Hope and here in the Interior designate boundaries for each community/town/city. People would be allowed to shop locally but otherwise travel outside the boundary would be prohibited.

On another note, the ammo is still flying off the shelves in 100 Mile. A lot of people think it might come down to hunting your food, it appears.

NOT silly at all......very wise. That should be the behavior of everyone right now. It is good practice. At some point you might want to check with your physician......about any residual effects. It is better to know for sure.......than assume.....Keep taking precautions ......as that is the smart thing to do. You have a demanding job.......so follow the healthiest routine you can........to keep your resistance and immunity in good form.

That kind of thinking is overboard. It's going to hit anyway. There never was an opportunity to level the curve

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

If things get too bad...

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.—Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remember'd.

The elephant in the room that nobody really wants to talk about is what happens when it spreads to the northern parts of Canada. 100 Mile House hospital has a grand total of 16 acute care beds. "The South Cariboo consists of a number of small unincorporated communities in the outlying area surrounding the District of 100 Mile House and has a population greater than 20,000."
http://www.100milehouse.com/
Medical facilities in the north are not capable of dealing with this outbreak.

People are thinking long term from what I hear, pete. We are being told to hunker down for 12 weeks..............3 months down the road regs could be a lot different.

Re: COVIDD-19 'Pandemic'

My prediction is that in two weeks, the pandemic will hit America worse than Italy. The Trump Administration has finally shown the country that it is morally corrupt, and tens of thousands of ppl will be dying in the US daily by the beginning of April...perhaps sooner.
US is far better prepared than we are.

Waaaaay better.
