Thanks for that, Blackie. I'm really hoping thepolls have it right. BTW, who controls your media - the ones that were predicting a down to the last vote race thing and, that there would be a very poor voter turn-out???

In Canada there are 338 constituencies and 27 million voters. In Britain there are 650 constituencies and 48 million voters. There's a lot more counting here.

As for the media, the right-wing press is controlled by Murdoch. The left-wing press is controlled by various organisations.

Again, sir - I thank you and wish you the very best of luck in this most important election.

Wow. Nigel Dodds, DUP leader in Westminster, has lost his seat to Sinn Fein in Belfast North.

Okay.............I'm tuned into the BBC now and will follow the goings on live for awhile. They have one of those graphs that show the various parties and the vote totals so far in all the constituencies.

Conservatives taking big chunks out of the Labor heartland- the reporter is telling us now.............ooh that can't be good for corbie.

The BBC guy is actually rubbing his hands and looks like he was just told his mother died.............I don't think he's a Conservative supporter. LOL

The fourth consecutive defeat for the Labor party...........sounds like they have a lot of soul searching ahead of them...........much like us Conservatives here in Canada. Getting rid of corbie should be their first priority.

Take the outstanding Blair out of the equation, and Labour haven't won a General Election since Harold Wilson in 1974.

As for the Tories, they are the oldest political party on the world as well as the most successful party in the West.

The DUP are Brexiteers and propped up May's Tory government.

The Tories don't need the DUP now. But it's still a surprising result.

Good to know, and thank you. Got a question for you. They were just showing a mock-up of the HOC and how many seats are projected for each party. I understand all the main ones but have no idea what the 'Other' party is all about. Would you be so kind as to enlighten me?

BREAKING NEWS: Scuffles have broken out at the count in Hillingdon in West London when Labour's Marxist Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell gave his speech. Punches were thrown in the crowd and shouts of "Down with the Left!" could be heard. McDonnell, predictably, blamed it on the "Far-Right".

All very British.

As a jubilant Johnson turns up for his count in Uxbridge, Corbyn effectively announces his resignation.

"I will not fight another election" says Corbyn.

What drama!

Well there are lots of parties in the UK. As well as the big two there are the Lib Dems, SNP, Greens, Ukip, Brexit, Plaid Cymru, DUP, UUP, Sinn Fein, Monster Raving Loony. You name it. There's even the Pirate Party.

This is the greatest, and oldest, democracy in the world, and you can have whatever party you want.

That's okay, Blackie..........I just got an eyeful of what the 'Other' party is all about as I watched a parade of very weird people that included an Elmo character on stage to hear their vote count. My heavens you certainly have some colorful characters running in your elections.

Johnson is reelected in his constituency. He had to beat "Lord Buckethead", who did actually wear a bucket on his head.

All very British...

Liberal Democrats leader Jo Swinson, running on an anti-Brexit stance, has been booted out as MP!

Well congratulations, Blackie.............Conservatives just hit the magic 326 and have been declared elected as the vote count keeps going up in their favor and in a good part at the expense of Labor.

I found it quite interesting that all candidates that ran in any of the constituencies are up on stage together to listen to their fates.
