I thought this may simplify things, as we have several Election Threads going.

We can all post and chatter about Monday evening's on-going results on this thread.

I'm still calling a Trudeau minority.

Have you declared a winner, yet?

That would make the posters out in Alberta and BC apoplectic.

You disappeared right off the face of the Earth for a while.

You're not Doug Ford, are you?

I just know I won't be tuned into CTV's Lisa LaFlamme...

With that gruff voice and big hair, she looks like she has a cigar and brandy going just outside of camera range.

A Trudeau win, could mean the end of Canada..
Polls show 87% of Albertans would vote to become the 51st State if Trudeau wins another 4 years..
The rest, we can load onto the short bus and send them to Ontario

Why? What special thing happens to them when they're the 51st state? Tell me one good thing that happens.

Alleinated now? Wait until you're a smallish, obscure state that no longer has even a chance of a pipeline to the coast. Your oil goes straight south, just as it does now. You don't get a penny more for it, either. You may not even have the right to slap Alberta taxes on it, a ymore.

Bet you can't wait to shell out $7000.00+ a year for basic health care, though.

Are you ready to register for Selective Service? They even require little dwarfs like Boomer to sign up.

I think if the Cons get just a few more seats than the Libs...then the Libs form a Coalition Government with Bat Beard's NDP...well, I could see Alberta getting just a titch 'grumpy'.

I'd like to see one of the Yahoos answer. They fell alienated now? Wait until they're a smallish state in an obscure part of the country, a very long way from the centers of American power.

Are we going to freeze in the dark? The Americans are going to cut off the gas to punish us Easterners on behalf of the Albertans that most of them can't find on a map? Ummm, no they're not. Besides, we can always go back to heating our houses with oil for a time, until petroleum is totally replaced out by cleaner technologies. Fortunately, we don't get our oil from Alberta and therefore, we are not suseptible to their "turn off the tap" blackmail, like BC is.

Well, I just voted....(drum roll)....Liberal!

I know most of you find me to be right-leaning most of the time, but in this case I had to consider my employment and family needs first. Everybody's situation is different. I voted for Harper in the past. I still like the man.

It almost killed me to vote for Costume Boy today, but I feel it was still the right move for where I'm at in my life right now.

Where are the liberals getting these seats ? They are losing seats in the Maritimes to the Conservatives . They are losing seats to the Bloc in Quebec . They are losing seats to the NDP and Conservatives in Ontario . And they have lost all support they had west of the lake head .. If the polls are correct the Liberals are in for a long ugly day .

I agree. But as you probably know me by now, I usually wear my heart on my sleeve and let it all hang out there.

At this point, I just don't see a scenario occurring whereby Scheer becomes Prime Minister. It wouldn't be the end of my world if he indeed becomes our next leader...but I really don't think it's in the cards for the Cons this time around. Perhaps if an election is held over the next 12 to 24 months, this could change.
