That orange fake man you are referring to , doesn’t happen to be the President of the United States of America ? How much are you looking forward to November 2020 when he wins re-election ? Does making fun of the elected leader of a foreign country take your mind off the dancing prancing pony in Ottawant ?

I couldn't care less about the Nov, 2020 election. I think he'll win, too. But he is just a narcissist occupying the office of the president, he isn't a real president. The US hasn't had one of those for decades.
Take my mind off? Nope. My mind is capable of considering more than one thing.
What is a real President if not the one elected by the people ? In our country we basically run a dictatorship out of the PMO and the PM is elected in one riding . All the trained sheep in whatever party is in power happily allow this . In America the President can be and is handcuffed by congress .
The Parliamentary system doesn't work for Canada. It's great in the UK where you can throw a rock across 3 ridings.

Lack of Wide Representation
There are parties like Bloc Quebecois that are entirely geographic based. Likewise, Tories tend to dominate in rural areas and Liberals in urban ones.

I don’t disagree about the parties and I am definitely for term limits , political office should not be a career choice.
The Fed Govts in both Canada and the US have usurped power from the Provinces and States using war measures and neither have given them back.
You gotta admit though, yours is quite the dump by comparison

Well as far as vote buying is concerned our Trudeau Liberals have been busy at our expense crisis crossing the country announcing twenty odd billion worth of pre election spending promises . It is also used at the constituency level for acquiring nominations .
