My friends and I used to play an updated game of Risk called 'Diplomacy'. It's a modern day take on risk with fun extras like ships, satellites and nukes. When you nuke a territory in the game, you put a little black mushroom cloud on it and it's out of play for the rest of the game. BUT, if at any point there's 12 mushroom clouds on the board, everybody loses and the game is over.
