You are making a whacking great assumption that is grossly in error that other Canadians coast-to-coast don't work as hard as you do. You are just plain wrong. I recommend that you travel it and learn about your country close up. Don't fly across it. See it up close, on the ground and spend some time at it. You will be sheepishly embarrassed at your current attitude to your non-Western countrymen.
...yes, even including Quebec.

I agree I have worked with some good ones, what is the over all view of the West from the perception of the East? There is a large percentage of Ont./Que. people that come to work out West, that I've been around, admit to having a change of opinion of the West after working here. ,

Maybe, the transients that go West are transients because they have have trouble working in the East.

There are more jobs in the GTA than in Alberta. Saskatchewan and Manitoba combined and to think that they don't "do it as well as you do" is both bigoted and quite incorrect. You've come to believe your own (and pretty typical) mythology about how "outsiders" are never as good as you because they are outsiders.

You need to be educated.

Travel.

Yah OK I have worked from the 65th to Northern Ont. to Northern BC and pretty much everywhere in between, but I need to travel to know more about this country

Why is there such high unemployment and a need for a high min. wage if there is so much work?

I'm sure that you're better than the 24 million lazy bums that live East of Manitoba.

Of course you are.

What "high unemployment"? What the hell kind of crap are you reading?

By the way, the "East" of the country (the center, actually) bares the brunt of immigration to Canada and people often head West from here. Even your ancestors did that, I dare say.

Because unemployment is the percentage of the number of people seeking work who can't find work.

That means if you have more people seeking work than you have jobs, there will be unemployment, and the higher the number of people seeking work for whom there are no jobs is, the higher the unemployment will be.

Hope that helped.

Many people wait to form their political and cultural opinions until they have mastered basic concepts like this.

Well, for what it’s worth, you sound pretty stupid to me.
You, of all people ... the one with the density of depleted uranium.

You're another one that I wonder how you can even function as a human being, you're so thick.

Personally, I hope nobody wins the next election. I like minority governments. We don't get dictatorships and most of our social safety net came from minority governments. But I guess most people like dictatorships because you guys keep electing them.
