Okay, here's the funny thing about the argument for illegal immigration. I've found that a LOT of the same people who support that crap also whine a lot about how cheap employers are with wages. They excuse illegal immigration simply as "people coming here and doing the jobs that Americans (or Canadians) won't do." And that's usually because the work effort to wage ratio sucks. But by justifying illegal immigration for that purpose, you give the employers no incentive to increase the wages for those jobs. And please don't suggest something like, 'employers will just automate those jobs' because it's a non-starter and does nothing to further the argument for illegal immigration.
OK, here's the funny thing. Most of the employers of large numbers of illegals are politically rightist.

White House intends to block former counsel Donald McGahn from testifying to Congress, defying another request from House Democrats

McGahn had been scheduled to appear Tuesday before the House Judiciary Committee, where Democrats were hoping to make a star witness out of a central player in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III's report. An individual familiar with the strategy said Monday that the White House would move to prevent McGahn's appearance.

McGahn had documented in real-time President Trump's rage against the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and his efforts to shut it down.

Earlier this month, the White House invoked executive privilege to bar McGahn from complying with a congressional subpoena for documents related to the Mueller probe.

Here are my principal conclusions:
1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report.
2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.
3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances.
4. Few members of Congress have read the report.

The problem for Trump is that while he can prevent McGahn from being forced to testify he cannot prevent him from voluntarily testifying.

I would say McGahn is in the drivers seat right now.

How much of the released report have you read ?
No more that any of us. A Republican just got to read the whole thing and he's calling for Trump"s impeachment. Perhaps, they all should read the whole thing and vote on it.
