OUCH!!! Nobody wants to invest in British Columbia...

B.C. walked away empty-handed from its monthly sale of Crown petroleum and natural gas rights this week.

Just a single 1,116-hectare lease near near Laprise Creek and Birley Creek was put up for this month's sale, held March 27. There were no bids.

It's the second $0 land sale in three years, after the province recorded a zero on the ledger in February 2016.

Industry picked up four leases and one drilling licence for $2.04 million in January. There were zero parcels posted for sale in February.

The next sale is scheduled for April 24, with five leases and one drilling licence on offer.

That’s funny. The local UCP candidate had a meet and greet last night where he gushed over BC and wants Alberta to model itself after that province.

BC leads the country in FDI

We are in fact looking for ways to throttle it back.

would I invest in Canadian oil and gas?
Nope.
I wouldn't either until we get a change in government. The current one in Ottawa and BC are out to destroy Canada. O&G is just a start. Although the feds and Ontariowe have doen a fair job of getting rid of car manufactures.

Indeed there is no way that oil and gas is viable without the right government in place.

With many, many regulations set up to force huge investments before any exploration can take place, stifling many companies to just expand on proven historic resources instead of expanding to explore new resources to prove. Proof can be found in the land sales across the country, and the reduction in the workforce.

Elizabeth May says pipefitter could build whirlygigs instead working in O&G.

Ask yourself: do I really need to make these tired old statements that have been made a million times already?

What's that? I can't hear you over the sound of you screaming "white natty" over and over again all over the forum.
