She refused to fund the construction of his wall and she won.

The fact that there is already lots of wall that requires lots of upkeep is unknown only to yourself.

Yes those 800,00 federal workers who haven't been paid in a month are winning hugely.

Don't be surprised if this puts Trump into Vlad's собачья конура.

Yes by Trump conceding for now, not like the Dems. even voting down a bill to allow the affected workers to get their backpay to help them through the shutdown.
The winners were all Americans who don't have to pony up billions for the Trump Monument.

It's probably going to cost you more in the long run if he goes through the national security route, it is reported that the loss to the economy was higher than the money he was seeking.

It was instructive on how to deal with Tiny.

See, this is the pattern of his life. As a real estate developer, he'd go to investors and make his pitch. Maybe one out of twelve would be interested. Anybody who wasn't, he'd simply drop and move on. Like any grifter, he knows there's always another chump just round the corner.

Now, however, he's faced with people who don't buy his lies, and don't go away. And now he has a powerful person who is not giving in to his BS, ignores his tantrums and threats, and tells him he can deal like an adult, or get nothing. And the longer he bluffs and blusters, the worse he looks.

So, like any grifter whose con is blown, he folds his hand and slinks away.
Indeed. and very well articulated.

exactly. That "wall" is just an monument to himself......and a place to put his name. Only a lunatic would carve Trumps' face on the side of a mountain.

(now , watch them line up ;-)

Who is the 600 miles of wall/fencing already built a monument too?
It's about 700, and it was built without eighteen months of braying and braggadocio from a man who is well known for loving to plaster his name all over structures.

I can actually understand why you like Trump, but the weird part is that you don't seem to be able to understand him.

The Wall promise was made to sew up the anti immigrant vote - and it worked like a charm.

So he wants to extend it by another 200+ miles what's the problem?
He has stated repeatedly that he wants it from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific, which is about 2100 miles.

Listen, Moosie, I can't be bothered to debate this issue with somebody who is charmingly innocent of the basic facts. Smarten yourself up and then get back to me, OK?

If "much like" means "diametrically opposed" then yes.

They are just the same.

Campaign promise vs reality And I do understand blowhards they are hard to take but you live with it if it produces results.

Trump wants $5 billion to build at least 200 miles of new “wall.” This would almost entirely get built in rural and wilderness areas, because nearly all densely populated zones are already closed off, with high fencing.
In total, roughly one-third of the 1,989-mile border already has some type of barrier. “Pedestrian” fencing—so named because it can keep someone on foot from crossing—already covers 352 miles of the border, while “vehicle” fencing—low-lying posts which can stop cars—blocks another 300 miles. The only densely populated area still lacking fencing is in south Texas, where border-front property is privately held and where the winding, flood-prone Rio Grande river acts as a type of natural barrier. However, Congress has already signed off on building 33 miles of fencing in this area.

I picked this from a left wing media source as evident in the attack

If roughly one third of a 1989 mile border is already fenced does that mean there over 1200 miles unfenced?

Care needs to be taken when dealing with climate change denies.

Inquiring minds want to know , is the climate going to change tomorrow and when is it going to change back to where it is supposed to be ? Where is it supposed to be by the way ? And if the earth is constantly in flux when has the climate not changed ? What change is natural ? Are you a denier ?
