Feds never really had a plan for irregular migrants

Some 21 months ago, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau flung open Canada’s door to asylum seekers and 36,000 irregular migrants have since crossed our borders from the United States, severely taxing the city’s social service system.
Now, as then, statistics show the feds never really had a plan for those desperate people except to pretty much dump their care and welfare on the city and the province — which have been scrambling to find permanent housing, schooling and paying to accommodate and provide social assistance to irregular migrants.
(With all due respect to Ms Levy- I think what we are witnessing IS THE LIE-beral PLAN! LIE-berals KNEW very well that if they had ASKED Cdns up front if it was okay to spend BILLIONS OF BORROWED DOLLARS to bring a pack of major security risks into Canada- the answer would have been a RESOUNDING NO!!!!!!!!)
(And the fact that the majority of Cdns want the border closed and the illegals deported- merely PROVES MY POINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(But DESPERATE LIE-berals KNEW their policies would FAIL.......and they desperately needed to BUY more support- and LIE-berals decided it would be MUCH CHEAPER to buy illegals than it would be to buy middle class Cdns!!!!!!)
(Of course- LIE-berals had hoped to have their electoral reform garbage in place so that our parliament would be fragmented and paralyzed before the 2019 election and LIE-berals lost out on that one!)
(LIE-berals were really counting on electoral reform to open the gates to all sorts of lunatic fringe parties- at the expense of Conservatives and NDP!! Which is why LIE-beral Maryam Monseff had that SCREAMING MELT DOWN in the middle of our parliament- when LIE-beral re-election odds were torpedoed!!)
(In addition- it seems likely that LIE-berals were hoping to put a lot of illegals and the Muslim refugees they brought to Canada - onto a fast track to Cdn citizenship- and give them a chance to “reward” LIE-berals by voting for them in 2019- and that LIE-beral scam has failed as well- Cdns want these people deported- NOT made into citizens! Again LIE-beral election rigging hands were tied!!!)
(Without the paralysis of electoral reform and a horde of lunatic fringe parties to distract voters- LIE-berals are now forced to run an election campaign ENTIRELY on their FAILED AND DISGRACED POLICIES! LIE-berals are staring at a SIGNIFICANT EROSION of their formerly Sunny Ways!)
Ottawa is not only downloading cost, it’s failing those lured here with the false promise of help — offering people who are staying little real help to thrive and integrate in a new country, and now speeding up the deportation of those who came here in droves following Trudeau’s #WelcomeTo Canada tweet.
(LIE-beral promises are always empty of content- bait and switch is the LIE-beral order of the day! As the illegals are finding out! How do the illegals now feel about recent LIE-beral announcements that they want to deport 10,000 illegals per year to clear the “backlog”?)
(This claim of stepped up deportations is NATURALLY a LIE-beral LIE! Nothing will actually be done! LIE-berals LOVE meaningless announcements! But do illegals know this?)
(And we know from old news reports that people under deportation orders often go on credit fueled buying sprees- and ship their goodies out of the country BEFORE the credit card companies find out! Are LIE-berals promoting expanded credit card fraud by this idle talk of deportations?)
(Many of the illegals are Nigerians with experience of forging documents- and will they be goaded into increased production of fake credit cards by the LIE-beral deportation noise? If you are going to be deported anyway- why not make some cash by illegal means before you have to go? What is there to lose? Your citizenship?)
With an eye to next fall’s election and possibly criticism about the lack of a plan, Trudeau recently handed over $7.46 million to the Canadian Border Services Agency to speed up deportation of rejected migrants — with 10,000 failed refugee claimants to be deported by March, a rate 35% higher than the past two years, and 10,000 anually thereafter until the backlog is addressed.
(And should we ASK how much of that $7.46 million in funding to Border Services will actually be used to house illegals close to the border and neatly out of sight of angry Cdns??????)
And as Marie-Emmanuelle Cadieux, spokesman for Border Security Minister Bill Blair, told me recently the number of irregular migrants continues to “decrease every month.
“It is lower than the amount at this time last year,” she told me in an e-mail.
(But illegals ARE STILL COMING! And LIE-berals have systematically LIED about how many are already here! With the added bonus that the Yankee clemency for Salvadorian and various other South Americans is running out and they will have to leave some time next year- and how many will head to Canada? LIE-berals do not want us to ask!)
Meanwhile, as we’ve seen in the past six months, the city of Toronto has been forced to scramble to find refugees temporary space, shuttling them from the city’s emergency shelters to college dorms and hotels, warehousing them while they await permanent housing and the processing of their claims, which could take up to 21 months.
City spokesman Natasha Hinds-Fitzsimmons said there are 2,523 refugees in the shelter system — which includes 1,772 in temporary refugee shelter response hotels like the Radisson Toronto East and 751 in the city’s permanent shelter system.
If one includes the temporary hotels, refugees are currently taking up 37% of Toronto’s emergency shelter system. That has forced City Hall to come up with alternatives for the city’s own homeless and transients this winter, including the creation of three pre-fab shelters at $2.5-million each.
As of the end of October, some 1,772 refugees were still housed in four hotels in the Toronto area — and will remain there until January — or until more permanent housing solutions are found, whichever comes first.
Hinds-Fitzsimmins says they city is also supporting 35 clients in two hotels in the GTA.
So far all the feds have paid out to the city is some $11-million — that amount provided to help accommodate refugees who were staying in dorms at Centennial and Humber Colleges during the early part of the summer.
(The mess the city of Toronto finds itself in is quite ironic! Toronto has long been a LIE-beral supporter stronghold and its leaders bill the place as a Sanctuary City - where all are welcome- apparently just so long as SOMEBODY ELSE PAYS THE BILLS! And now city leaders are whining because LIE-berals have stuck them with the bills!)
Ontario Social Services Minister Lisa MacLeod said recently the province asked the feds back at the end of July to compensate the province and municipalities for the $200 million already spent on housing irregular migrants.
According to McLeod, the $200 million includes $74 million spent by Toronto for temporary housing, $3 million for the Red Cross, $12-million for the city of Ottawa, $90 million shelled out in Ontario Works assistance and $20 million for elementary and secondary school spaces.
As of last week, the city would only concede Toronto’s costs to temporarily house refugee/asylum claimants from January of 2017 to the end of this year are predicted to be “in excess of” $64.5-million.
(Oh- THERE IS THE LIE-beral LIE! Housing costs for illegals are “estimated to be in excess of $64.5 million dollars! Such a NICE accurate number that apparently does not include school costs for kids nor medical and dental costs, and which ignores the cost of clothing- especially winter clothing for the illegals!)
(And what of English as a second language classes so these illegals might have a chance at a job??????? And what job is available that will earn a poorly educated illegal with WEAK English skills enough money to raise 3-4 kids that most seem to have with them? This is ANOTHER LONG TERM DRAIN on govt aid!)
Since the province was already reporting costs to Toronto of $74 million at the end of July, I wouldn’t be surprised if that number is closer to $90 million or more by year’s end.
Hinds-Fitzsimmins says COSTI Immigrant Services has been given $2.6 million this year to provide support services to refugees in three Toronto hotels- the city takes care of support services for asylum seekers in the fourth hotel.
(That`s nice- and what kind of housing can unemployed illegals find in Toronto? We know that many Cdns are homeless SIMPLY BECAUSE welfare does not provide enough to live on- with rents so high!)
(Unless LIE-berals are LYING- as usual- about how much welfare money they are REALLY giving to the illegals- over and above the standard rate? ARE LIE-berals playing fast and loose with welfare rates to illegals? Maybe?)
COSTI spokesman Mary Cellucci says they help refugees with their search for housing, as well as referrals for school enrollment and to obtain legal support for their refugee board claims.
(Oh- so the $64.5 million in “housing costs” DOES NOT INCLUDE for legal expenses either!)
“Not all clients are remaining in the hotels until January,” she said.
“Clients are moving out on a regular basis to permanent housing.”
Cellucci said since July 1, 130 families — 511 people — have moved from temporary shelter to permanent housing.
(So illegals who are trespassing in Canada are soaking up all the low cost housing in the city- with BORROWED MONEY supplied by LIE-berals! And HOW can any of this end well??????????)
