Canadian steel will soon drop in price in Canada and increase in price in the US. Canada's best strategy would be to unilaterally drop tariffs, invite Harley Davidson to set up shop in Canada, and authorize any present Harley-Davidson worker to study, work, or do business in Canada visa-free for five years with a possibility of applying for permanent residency after that. That way, Harley Davidson would not need to spend massive sums of money on recruitment and retraining if it chooses to move to Canada.

Ouch. Canada, the EU, Mexico, China are all retaliating against the US. Individually, the US can stand its ground, but with every country retaliating against the US, the US will certainly feel the pinch. Now's Canada's opportunity to open to more trade with other countries and invite more US businesses to relocate to Canada.

We don't need more American businesses in Canada. We need more Canadian businesses in Canada and now would be a great time to see some more start-ups.

Hmmm... if it moves to Canada, would that not make it a Canadian business?
