We need a new political party in Canada

I look at our choices and it's really sort of sad. I'm fiscally conservative, but socially conscious. A centrist party would be good and without the extremes of the others. I would vote for a party that kept religion and social engineering out of its mandate.

The Liberals have been fiscal conservatives since Chretien/Martin at the very least.

Remember they were the ones who created budget surpluses and paid down government debt - which is the very definition of fiscal conservatism.

Trudeau himself is little more than a figure head in terms of economics.

That party used to be the Progressive Conservatives before the Western separatist Reform Party trashed it in the West and the Quebec Separatist Bloc trashed it in the East. Funny thing is that most Canadians prefer the political centre, as we do but who represents us, anymore? The Liberals? Their sole interest for as far back as I can remember is to perpetuate themselves.

p.s. Pierre Trudeau was pretty damned close to being a dictator and he had little respect for the lesser beings that made up his government.

Seriously, though. It's this ridiculous gender neutral pandering or the self-righteous telling people whether or not to get an abortion, whether they can marry the same sex. Left or right, they shouldn't be in that business. "That" is our business, not theirs.



They should be doing what most employed people do everyday. Their bloody jobs. Build roads, take care of defense, ram pipelines down Bc'ers throats. LOL

Sure, he sold what was left of our souls to the Chinese. He wore an army helmet backwards in Bosnia. He tried to pretend Afghanistan was only training and support. He had a thing for choking protesters and giving them the pepper off his plate. There's much I remember Chretien doing. Nothing really good, but plenty of bad.



He did keep us out of Iraq.



But we're there now, but its only training and support under Trudeau.

Read James Hogan's "Voyage from Yesteryear." The thesis is that a rich man, but not rich enough to send an interstellar expedition of breathing folk, sent human ova, sperm, and a whole bunch of robots to Alpha Centauri. Without the hatreds of their forbears being pounded into them, they set up a just, rational, libertarian anarchy.

Then, after 200 years or so, the Earthlings arrived, complete with executives, politicians, preachers, and of course, soldiers.
