How Would You Do Health Care?

You have a point there. A healthy whale is supposed to carry lots of blubber. Don't confuse that with a kid who eats three pork-rib meals a day.
Also, have you ever seen a whale? They're not fat by any standard. They're beautifully streamlined, no bulges, and have about the same "waist"-to-length ratio as a very lean human.

It's not meat that's the problem. The Europeans eat meat. They're not fat like Americans. Crossed the New York border last month to see Sister and her kid's high school graduation. God, what a school of fatties. It was like whale watching.

Pretty much everything is good in moderation. Two or three ounces of red meat two or three times a week is good for you and a source of vitamin B 12 - actually, from what I hear the only healthy source of B 12. Back bacon is good, side bacon not so good and should be eaten very sparingly.

Who defines dangerous life styles? Skateboarding? Riding a motorcycle? Eating white bread? Swimming within an hour of eating?
Skiing is a perfect example. We accept skiing as a recreational past-time in spite of it's risks. And I have no problem with that. It's the idiots that decide to ski down the backside of a mountain despite posted and announced warnings not to. At that point, the hell with premiums, make the morons pay out of pocket for both their rescue and the associated medical expenses.
Same with motorcycles. If you get hurt simply because of an accident then you should be covered. If you get hurt because you're a moron doing 120mph on a public highway, suck it up bitch and pay for the medical expenses yourself.

And if you can't, die.

Yeah, but some more so than others. That's why I'm all for sin taxes to the max. :)

What is a sin? Posting here could be considered a sin as it may elevate blood pressure (it appears to the way some are frotthing at the mouth). How about $10 for every post on CC and $5 for every reddie given or received to cover the cost of the posters blood pressure treatment?
