I was looking for a story I saw a few months ago on the VR. Apparently an old/factory/warehouse is being turned into affordable housing there.
Here's another one announced before Trudeau's trip........
Barr's Motel on Essa Road in Barrie is set to be transformed into affordable housing units.
The County of Simcoe announced on Tuesday it will convert the hotel and the house beside it into 17 affordable housing units.
It's all courtesy of a nearly $10 million grant from the province to build and operate affordable housing in Barrie and Orillia.

More money has been announced to build new affordable housing units in central Ontario.
Officials with the federal, provincial and municipal government were in Barrie on Tuesday to talk about $12.4 million. The money will be used to fund eight housing projects.
The units are being built in Penetanguishene, Orangeville, Shelburne, Orillia, Barrie, Gravenhurst and Huntsville.
The money comes from both the federal and provincial governments. The housing developments are expected to bring 123 additional units to the area.
The residences are designed specifically for the elderly, people with low income, and others with disabilities.
