Its sad funny how you don't seem to get anything we discuss
see the post above yours

I have already seen the corrupt court system we have in Ontario first hand and got a local police chief fired over it.
So I do know what I am talking about.

They're supposed to appear unbiased, and shall I say, non-judge mental.
Of course they are. But really, how is a judge in Ontario going to possibly sway people to vote for Trump? It does make me wonder if he had done the same thing during the run up to our last election but wearing Trudeau gear, if he would still be disciplined for it.

Because it seems that in Canada these days, if you don't think a certain way, you can be blacklisted simply for having a different opinion than some whiny, proggy f*cktard(s).

Actually, by your own statement, you don't know what you're talking about. In every thread, it's the same thing.

It’s disturbing that this so called ‘judge’ must have presided over so many cases and to know that his racist bias must have resulted in so many unfair decisions detrimental to minorities that came to him assuming they would get justice. And who knows how many judges there are out there who are better at hiding their racist prejudice but still give unfair rulings because of it without the public even knowing. It is good this judge has been dismissed, but the long term solution is that we need more minority judges. Whenever I go to observe court all I see are White judges, even here in Peel Region where I live where we South Asians are in a slight majority. We definitely need more South Asian judges, but first these old White judges that are half in the grave either need to be forced to retire or resign to make way for a new generation of judges that are absolutely free from racial bias.

Regardless of what it said, it is inappropriate for him to be wearing anything that shows political or any bias. If he was draped in a rainbow flag, same issue. A judge is supposed to be impartial (or at least be perceived to be impartial).

Given he admitted the lapse, 30 days suspension is an appropriate punishment.

Are you kidding? Thirty days isn’t even a slap on the wrist. It’s a vacation. He needs to be defrocked.

Nobody is allowed to make any mistakes?

Some mistakes are fatal. You don’t get a second chance. He is a judge and that is a huge responsibility. If he was presiding over a case involving me, I would have absolutely no confidence in his ability to be impartial and make a just and fair ruling. Once a judge loses the confidence of the public to be impartial, it’s time for him to find another job.

Did anyone actually read why he wore the hat. It was to declare that he was right that Trump would win the election in a gentleman's bet at work. There was no bias involved. Judges aren't supposed to be human? Come on folks! I mean it's not like he wore a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey in to work.

Not true, I read the articles on this. He wore the hat because he genuinely supports Trump and wanted to express that given his statement that the vast majority of other judges supported Hillary (whatever the merits of that claim). In fact, if a judge wore a sports jersey to work, that would be much less serious than wearing a hat that is obviously making a controversial political statement.

Oh, for Christ sake. Bullshit. The Leafs are not a Hockey team, they are a useless money grabbing third arm of the Ontario Teachers Pension Fund. Completely, political.
