YOU voted for Trump????? Oh, not good,,,, big mistake,,, another mistake for you maybe???

Yep. I was hoping he'd prance around like an imbecile and let some important policy issues get done by the professionals.

I (and I daresay everyone else) didn't realize he'd be THIS bat-shit crazy.

So what do you do when you need to choose between Tweedledee and Tweedledum?
Do what a smart intelligent person like me would do, run for office or find someone to support that I think would do a great job.

Casting a blank ballot is stupid and immature,,, but it fits your level of intelligence

I gotta admit,, his poor performance is a bit of a surprise given his business acumen

Good, I can disagree with you again!

Nah, he's a real-estate guy. As "businessmen" go, they're slightly below used-car salesmen.

Still, he's completely paralyzed the party. We can't fix health care, we can't work on infrastructure, we can't do tax reform, and we can't modify entitlements because this idiot won't just SHUT. . . THE. . . ****. . . UP!

Nah, lots of people knew he was a white supremacist.

I admit I wasn't sure if he was a White supremacist or just pandering to voters, but I knew he was an ethnic nationalist and sincerely believed in ethnic nationalism at the very least.

To me, that was bad enough. That said, he did come across as an isolatonist. Though I disagree with isolationism, that's still preferable to international militarism, so he had that over Hillary. That's partly why I didn't hold Hillary much higher than him.

You thought he was an ethnic nationalist but not a white supremacist? Who ethnicity did you think he supported?

Anglo-American. I like to give the benefit of the doubt: while his ethnic nationalism was undeniable, I sat on the fence as to whether he was a White supremacist.

But not all white people. Many Mexicans are White but don't qualify as Anglo-Americans.

Also, some would count blacks who are assimilated into Anglo-American culture as Anglo-Americans too.

But to be fair, he was not president yet, so it was difficult to distinguish between acting and his sincere beliefs.

It's a very complicated and pointless debate. It's all a matter of perception and I doubt white supremacists include Mexicans in their visions of racial superiority.

I think where you went wrong is how you tried to parse it logically. White supremacists don't think that hard.

You do have a point there. Perhaps I give them too much credit.

Perhaps my Canadian background played a role in how I interpreted him too. In Canada, English or French Canadian ethic nationalism strongly influences the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, many of our laws, and all of our major political parties Federally and Provincially. Though I grant that there is a difference between that and White supremacy.

That said, I do see a risk of English and French Canadian ethnic nationalism radicalizing over time.

How do you define white? What about the Chinese who built the railway?

Indigenous peoples also helped the first settlers survive and taught them many of their early survival skills.
