We'll pick up that biz...MAGA!

No doubt.

Even California isn't that stupid.

Exporting LNG is not a viable industry. This decision has nothing to do with politics.

Yeah, I guess that's why 100s of billions hasn't been spent on LNG facilities in pretty much every nation on Earth (incl Canada's East Coast).

.... Just ain't viable

You're ruining all the fun!

Eaglecrack and cap'n dunce know best.

Better than LNG themselves, apparently.

The decision to cancel the development boiled down to simple economics -- a world market awash in liquefied natural gas, which has driven down prices, making Pacific NorthWest LNG no longer financially viable, said Anuar Taib, CEO of Petronas's oil and gas production division.

"Unfortunately for us, we don't believe we have that mix of where the sweet spot can be hit," Taib said.

Supply and lack of demand at work.......

Petronas as the state-owned company is known, won Canada’s approval for the project in September, following more than three years of regulatory reviews and opposition from environmentalists, scientists and indigenous communities. The project also faced economic headwinds, with 18 gas export proposals in the province in limbo.

Gas supplies from Australia to U.S. shale fields have inundated the world’s markets, prompting a price rout that’s scuttled projects including Woodside Petroleum Ltd.’s $40 billion Browse floating terminal proposed off Western Australia. The cancellation of the Petronas project threatens to further dent confidence in Canada’s energy industry, which is still reeling from a string of asset sales by international producers, and eliminates a potential outlet to Asian markets.

Consulting firm IHS Inc. has
said only one of every 20 LNG export terminals planned will actually be necessary by 2025 as demand for LNG slows amid an ever-expanding North American gas supply glut. Qatar, the world’s biggest LNG exporter, plans to double production from the giant North Field, potentially adding to global oversupply.

Have the Dippers figured out where the money comes from to fund their socialist utopia?

I guess not yet.

The socialist utopia has no need for money. All you need to do is specify the drink (tea), then the flavour (Earl Grey) and the temperature (hot).

You are aware that you've actually just disclosed the elixir of youth? It clearly has worked for Patrick Stewart.

Maybe this will help

https://www.mccarthy.ca/pubs/Canadian_LNG_Yearbook_2015_update.pdf

There have been 22 announced LNG export projects in Canada; 18 along Canada’s
West coast in British Columbia (BC), eight of which have NEB export licences, and four
along Canada’s East coast, none of which has an NEB export licence.

It's just getting started.

So, what facilities have been built on Canada's east coast? You seem to think that billions have been spent building these export facilities. Where are they?

The asbestos mines are a long way from the East Coast, not that I would expect Eagle Schmuck to know anything about Canada.
