Ivanka Trump mocked after misquoting Albert Einstein on Twitter

First daughter Ivanka Trump has been mocked on social media after a tweet she wrote four years ago misquoting Albert Einstein resurfaced over the weekend.

The tweet, written in June 2013, attributed the quote “If the facts don’t fit the theory, change the facts” to the famed physicist.

The only problem? Einstein never actually said that.

Twitter users picked up on the misquote, with some poking fun at the irony of such a mistake, while others questioned whether Ms Trump might actually be mocking the notion of changing facts herself.

A US author seems to have prompted the onslaught of ridicule after sharing the tweet, commenting: “The fact that Einstein never said any such thing only makes this tweet that much more perfect.”

Is Ivanka Trump an elected official?

Sure made a mistake, but that's a minor mistake. Who doesn't err occasionally?

Third rock from the Sun
From 2013? This is an example of "First World Problems".

Our society needs to take a step back from social media and go for a walk outside because its consuming our lives...

I don't even own a Twitter or Facebook account but some days i think i do because thats all news sites use for their communications and references.

And this is coming from a Millennial!!!

Albert who?? Oh yeah, the guy who thought gravity was better at redirecting light than a mirror or any shaped clear lens. What was he saying this time??

The left, never. They are perfect human being. And their crusade for niceness justifies being dick heads to those that don't share their vision of the world. Even if this means completely contradicting themselves.

Which makes ridiculing lefties for ridiculing this tweet even more perfect then perfect.
Because ivanka and Lefties have at least one thing in common.

Sure speaks volumes about the sort of intellectual rigor being applied in the White House, these days.

Are only elected officials legitimate targets for criticism? Are appointed officials entitled to a pass?

That said, the fact they had to dig this up from four years ago demonstrates that they're getting pretty desperate.

There's a distinction to be made between public and private. A private citizen should not become the target of public criticism.

That said, I think Ivanka is Donald's advisor officially, so I guess that makes her a public figure none-the-less, not because of her familial ties to him but due to her position as advisor.

Even then though, I don't think Trump's tweets are relevant. That's his private domain. His executive orders and such or other things he says or writes in an official capacity, those are the public's business.

Same with Ivanka. Outside of what she does while advising the president, it's all private domain.

Also says a lot about the SJW who trolled through years of tweets to find this.
Must have wet his panties pretty good when he found it, running and screaming
about how Hillary should won because of this tweet.
