I'd try googling any identifying markings on the tweeter or work from the item's model number
( last time I went to replace a tweeter, it turned out to be the glue on the cheap plastic logo had worn out and that was vibrating, but someone had posted that that happens)

A 3.5mm speaker is pretty small, that's like 1/8". There's a limit to how much power you could get through a wire to a speaker that small.
