Canada beat Norway and are currently playing the Fins - ahead 3 - 1 in the 1rst P.
Canada will advance to the quarter-finals after beating Finland 5 - 2 today. Canada put in a very strong performance against the Fins today taking advantage of them with 2 PP goals and basically out-skating and out-shooting them. Rock on Canada!

Canada is currently playing Germany in the quarter-final. They are ahead 2 - zip with just over 10 minutes left in the 3rd P.

Oh, oh.......Germany just came within 1 of tieing the game on a short-handed goal during Canadian PP. Hang in there guys!
Yee Haw! Canada wins 2 - 1 and will play Russia in the semi-final. Canada was well in control of the game until that short-handed goal in the 3rd. They rallied to keep the Germans out of the net and were by far the better team in the semi-final.

So we are off to a shoot-out after a 20 minute OT period as the teams were tied 1 apiece. I really dislike the Gold Medal game being decided by a shoot-out.............but it is what it is and I just hope that we come out on top.
Sweden wins the Gold Medal in a shoot-out where Canada was unable to find the net behind Lundy. It was a really great game for both teams and Canada will take home Silver. Great tournament and some really fabulous hockey.

Helluva a game by both sides...........best game of the tournie by far. The arena was a sea of red tonight and had it's best attendance yet. Two fairly evenly matched teams. Swedes played their hearts out.......but we broke the hex and are Champions again. Hart - our goalies won player of the game - he allowed one goal on 35 shots.
Final score: 3 - 1
Well done Team Canada. Congrats to every single member of our team, coaches and all. Thank you.
