I just can't believe nobody is getting up in arms to stop that stupid Sidney Crosby from playing after those head shots.

What does it take to stop someone from becoming a vegetable????

This is unreal,,,,it's only a game for Christ sake!!!

way to go Ottawa, was cheering for you all thru the series. didn't think you could beat

those rangers, but you did, lots of heart, now if only the oilers can do it tomorrow, we'll see.

good luck in the conference final, whoever you play.

Watching Sid's head slam into the boards, not once but twice, in Game 6 almost made me physically ill. I don't have a clue what the NHL protocol is concerning concussions but the way they are handling Sid truly makes me wonder if they did a damn about his long-term mental health.

Unfortunately, I expect to see more of the same in Game 7 tonight.

Lot's of heart and the skill and talent of Erik Karlsson, talloola - the Captain was outstanding in the last two games of the series. A true leader and deserving of all the kudos though I reserve some of the acclaim for the fabulous goal-tending of Anderson especially having to deal with all the penalties.

Though I am a Pen's fan, seeing a Canadian team make it to a Conference final is wonderful.

Lets go Edmonton!!!!

I'll second that, Johnny................should be a fantastic night of hockey. GO EDMONTON, GO! :canada:

Game 7: Pens vs Caps

Game just underway and the Caps are coming on strong. Hoping for a great game from both teams

GO PENS, GO!!!

Pens lead 1 zip after 1 - Brian Rust with the goal for Pittsburgh with an assist by Sid and Jake Guentzel.

Hornqvist with the Pen's 2nd goal of the game just under five minutes into the P - caught Holtby completely off- guard.

2 zip Pens

If Sid is playing with a concussion then it is a miracle how he manages to play as hard and as tough as he does. He was all over the ice tonight - a factor in so many plays and so many ways and was a big part of the Pens win over the hapless Caps tonight. Marc Andre was solid, steady and looked to be having a grand time out there earning himself a shut-out. So, it will be the Sens vs the Pens. Should be a fabulous series. Thank you Pens for another fine performance. Congrats to Mike Sullivan and crew - job well done.

Off to the Oilers game. GO EDMONTON, GO

Oilers strike first about 4 minutes in.

29 saves for #29..........so many reasons to smile

The Anaheim Ducks will move on the the Western Conference Final after defeating the Edmonton Oilers 2 - 1 in a well-played game by both teams. The Oilers, I have no doubt at all, will be back next year stronger than ever - they had a great run.

Epic anti-Ovi rant in 18 tweets by fellow Russian Slava Malamud

1/#Caps problems extend beyond a bad def pair, and under-performing goalie. The failure is endemic and systematic. It's the result of choices.

2/fanboy owner Leonsis made in 2004 when he decided his business model would be not building a winner but servicing a marketable megastar.

3/There's nothing wrong with building a team around a star, but it has to be the right kind of star. Ovi just isn't the 'win first' type.

4/I've know Ovi since he was 17. Kid was born with a silverware set in his mouth. Always told he is the greatest, teammates must be worthy.

5/but his demands on himself stay the same. He's not the bloodied inspirational leader. He is the tousled-hair sexy charismatic ruffian.

6/Yes, he's the NHL's favorite stripper who's been giving the hockey world a lap dance for 13 years. Sorry, but the length of your erection

7/hockey world, is unhealthy by now. You need to face the truth: the Caps personality-cult culture is counterproductive to winning the cup.

8/Fueled by innumerable fanboy blogs and media whipped into terrified subservience by CapsPR, the culture feeds on self, kills all dissent,

9/and spurns all criticism. You know, Caps fans, that despite all the issues Oates and Hunter had, your main problem w/ them was trying to

10/turn Ovi into a man of the system. You hate that. You want your boy toy wild and free. Everyone wants this of Ovi, even RUS coaches.

11/Compare this to Crosby who will take any role on CAN w/o complaint. You call 87 a whiner, but who whined the loudest during the lockout,

12/threatening to stay in the KHL? Who whines now, threatening to leave the league to get an Olympic trinket? While Leonsis bends over

13/backwards to satisfy all his ridiculous demands. This is a guy who looks out for himself and his public image (Wild and Sexy Rebel,

14/Patriot of the Motherland). His only interest in the Cup is how his reflection will look in it. Problem is, Leonsis has the same priorities.

15/He has dissolved himself and the team in Ovechkin's 13-year long marketing campaign. It worked out great financially. The price to pay

16/is being humiliated every year by real winners. Congrats, Caps, you've sold lots of t-shirts. Congrats, Caps fans, you've been had.

17/Oh, and that sound you've just heard is your window of opportunity slamming shut. I hope this wild ride on the charisma Train was fun.

18/Rant out. Enjoy your Redskins mini camp.

Be interesting to see what becomes of the Russian super-star now.

1-Ovechkin was injured early in the series and while he came back failed to produce much of anything.

2-Russians are famously jealous people.

3-If still in doubt see #'s 1 & 2.

Ovi just doesn't have what it takes to play a full game. Time after time in the series with the Pens, there he was standing by the boards, all alone, just waiting for someone else to get him the puck. He sucks.

CORRECTION- Some Russians are jealous people- most Russians have very similar traits to us. They laugh, they cry, they hurt, they bleed!
