I have to say, despite being a life-long Leafs fan, I really thought they'd go down in 4-5 against Washington. But as I watched the games I remembered the last time Calgary won the Cup. They pretty much had a no-name team, squeaked into the final playoff spot in the West and ran the playoffs to win the Cup. Nobody expected them to do much of anything in the playoffs and so the team seemed more relaxed and able to enjoy the experience for what it is.
I'm seeing something similar with Toronto right now with all their rookies (and their veteran players as well). Nobody is really expecting them to do much, other then Leaf fans hoping and praying they will, and with Bobcock's knowledge and experience as well as his handling of the Toronto media, the team looks pretty relaxed for the most part although still intent on the game they're playing and working hard.
I'm not saying they'll make the big run like Calgary did, maybe they will, maybe they won't, but it's sure been fun watching them so far this playoffs.
