This should not have been an issue had Clinton not had so many skeletons in the closet.

no amount of blaming the Russian bogeyman will change that fact

Clinton is an irrelevant diversion. the Russians need to be dealt with. Trump admitting the hacks occurred is the first step. He'll have to do something now. The only question is will he do enough

If Clinton and the Dems are pissing and moaning about this, then they are fully relevant.

Further, the election per se was not hacked, it was the Dem data base (or whatever) and the release of the info for public consumption.

This does come right back to the skeleton's in Clinton's closet.

Lastly, if the decision is made to 'deal with' the Russians, then that same policy will have to be applied to every other nation that is using IT to spy, influence or disrupt gvt agencies and/or multinationals... Bear in mind, the USA will also be subject to this same scrutiny.

Accepting that a foreign power is hacking political parties and potentially using the information to influence political decision making and expecting those in power to combat this is not "pissing and moaning". It's common sense. Perhaps that's why Trumpites have such a problem with it.

Quite the opposite.

Nonsense.

What claim do you think I'm making?

You will need a photo showing someone much, much, MUCH younger .. like an angry, abusive Millenial, for instance.

You know, snake tattoo on his neck and a staple through his lips with a swastika carved into his buzz cut...

Actually, the guy in the pic looks smarter than what would be expected.

For all the Trumpites that are slightly smarter than the Capt, "my claim" is that the US intelligence services have evidence the Ruskies were hacking US political parties. This needs to be fully investigated to determine the extent of the hacks, the effects on the election if there were any and any long term effects involving Russian influence.

How anybody with an IQ over 5 would oppose this is beyond me but then again, they are Trumpites

And somebody hacked the Republicans and didn't realease them. The question is why. Two possible reasons are that they wanted to hurt the Democrats and they wanted ammunition to use against the Republicans. What info do they have on the Republicans and what might the Republicans do for the Russians in order to keep that info private

My kid has hacked many things from banks to utilities to corporate sites all from his laptop in his pajamas and left no trace. It doesn't take the entire Russian government of you have the right software and the knowledge of how security systems are engineered. I would guess that the Russian government employs computer scientists of at least the calibur of my boy if not better so there would be no way to say if the republicans were hacked unless secured files and info was released.

I accept the opinion of the US intelligence services over yours. Apparently, so does Trump
