True enough. For each of us the standards we set in gauging someone's ethics will differ. In the case of Mr. Levant and The Rebel, they do not meet my standards as a credible news source simply because they have shown to be less than accurate in the past, and given to manipulating the way they reports his "facts" to support a preconceived position. I guess I'm just one of those dreamy eyed idealists who think there is still a place for objectivity, accuracy and comprehensiveness in journalism, that there are enough thinking people out there who are able to assess the facts and draw their own conclusions rather than have someone do it for them. You can understand my frustration at locating such news sources these days. One is basically forced to review multiple sources in hope of garnering enough credible information to assemble a complete picture. It's my experience that sources that show a prominent political bias (The Rebel, The Tyee, Rabble.ca, etc.) present only part of the story on any given issue, facts and theories that while accurate, will be deliberately omitted if they do not support a preconceived position. One also has to consider the motivation that drives the people publishing whatever it is they are publishing.
