2. More specifically, how aware are BC residents of the risk for a mega earthquake?

No. Nothing to do with selling. Just wanted to get opinions and didn't realize there was a Science & Environment forum.

This is the last I saw on the dangers. I assume the Rockies will be able to stop the ocean from reaching AB.


The one question I have is would Van Is be taken further out to sea and sunk or would it be lifted up?

This seems very scary. Thanks for sharing. I wonder whether anything can be done at all to prepare for a mega earthquake like this. Maybe many BC residents are not even aware of this risk.

Heating of the water above the rift would also be a sign that tension would be increasing but still leave the time and the place as a unknown. The Pacific blob would qualify as that event and it has been present for a few years now.
