1. Hardly, I don't have a lot of use for the man, but I would hardly classify as dangerous- his main attribute is he's a much better choice than Hillary (who is prone to histrionics) :) :) :)

You seem singularly obsessed with countering any slight against Trump with laudatory inanities.

2. Nope, but I pick up on a lot of it. (Trudeau for one never fooled me) :)

Well, if you thought I was too intelligent to sucked in by bulls hit, but believe yourself to be not so intelligent, then by your own beliefs I would be better at detecting Trump's bulls hit than you. And I'm telling you that Trump is a conman. He's built his entire career on fooling people into believing he is a competent businessman and a leader, and now he's fooled millions into believing he'd make a competent president. The man is bull **** personified, and since you think I am too intelligent to fall for bull **** but you are not, you should believe me when I say you fell for Trump's bull ****.

You may be right......................Nov. 9 will tell. :) :)

I get the message that JLM, like I do, simply thinks that no one could be worse than Hillary Clinton.
I think that is Clinton gets elected, the world's predators (China, Russia, Iran, N. Korea) will close in for the kill and America will either be plunged into war on the home front or will succumb to the NWO. Either way, disaster for Americans.
With Trump, at least America would have a fighting chance of survival as its own country.

You've summed it up better than I ever could D.M. Hopefully your missive will penetrate a few skulls much better than I was able to. :)

The election isn't going to prove or disprove whether I'm right.

Have you prepared yourself yet?

If either one of them gets elected, I wouldn't be totally shocked....................I believe in majority rules (given there's no other choice)

With all due respect, I would point out your and JLM's many posts praising Trump as a businessman, and how he "tells it like it is." For every post you or JLM put up saying merely "He's better than Clinton," there's one you put up fawning over his alleged excellent characteristics.

I actually LIKE his nasty, racist, sexist, inflammatory rhetoric. You and JLM choose to deny that it's nasty, racist, sexist, and inflammatory. That's the difference.

I'm open to examples of my connecting the words "nasty", "racist", "sexist" and "inflammatory" to Trump.

They also seem to choose to deny how much they love him. They praise him and defend him against any attack, then deny they love him and act as if they'd never heard of the attacks against them.

Read the comments you defend Trump against. This thread is full of examples of Trump's nasty, racist and sexist behaviour and you adoring over Trump in response.

I think if you were to reread my comments about Trump you would find they are mainly confined to admitting he is what America needs, and he is better than the alternative. I defy you to find one where I've expressed love for Trump. I alluded to the facts he doesn't take any crap and what you see is what you get and that's about the extent of my approbations.

Trump’s Doing Worse Than Romney Did Among White Voters | FiveThirtyEight

I mentioned earlier how so many of these headlines are repeating. I swear I saw this sometime in August too. I wonder if this race will ever solidify before November or will it just oscillate wildly and the president will be just a snapshot of one day in the variable opinions of American voters.

These people really need to get their **** together and have a functional democracy. Maybe you're right, Tecumsehsbones, and America deserves Trump. Clinton will just keep the kleptocracy going a few more years, while Trump will burn American democracy to the ground. Maybe that's what they need to wake up and stop electing Bushes and Clintons.

Obama charts path to economic growth in not-so-subtle Trump rebuttal

“Despite all manner of division and discord, a second Great Depression was prevented. The financial system was stabilized without costing taxpayers a dime and the auto industry rescued,” he wrote, describing the economy's emergence from the deep recession he inherited.

“The results are clear: a more durable, growing economy; 15 [million] new private-sector jobs since early 2010; rising wages, falling poverty, and the beginnings of a reversal in inequality; 20 [million] more Americans with health insurance, while health-care costs grow at the slowest rate in 50 years; annual deficits cut by nearly three-quarters; and declining carbon emissions.”

When it boils right down to it I wonder how much power the POTUS actually has. Do they defy their advisors? Do they ignore lobbying from the big money? One other thing I've wondered about since I was in knee high pants. Where is this "button" located where a nuclear war can be started by accidently tapping it once? How many of these "buttons" are there. I've heard Krushjeff and Kennedy each had one on their armchairs! Wouldn't a second opinion be needed before it was actually punched? Perhaps it would be wise to locate it in a child proof container not to mention an idiot proof container. It seems quite a few idiots show up on this forum perpetuating this bull sh*t! :) :)

Also with due respect, of Trump's comments that are spread around as 'nasty, racist, sexist and inflammatory' Some of those comments were asked for, some were taken out of context, some were misquoted. A certain type of person looks for insult and misinterprets whatever they can to make it seem insulting.
There are many examples. One is his disrespect for the disabled because he taunted a disabled reporter. I believe he would have taunted any reporter, disabled or not in the same manner and for the same reason. He doesn't discriminate among the disabled, women minorities, etc.; he sees them all as people of whom intelligent and mannerly conduct is expected regardless of their lot in life.
He was accused of disrespect for the Khan family just because he asked whether Mrs. Khan was silent because of their religion. That is not insulting.
He was accused of saying that the Judge couldn't do his job because he was Mexican. What he actually said was that he believed the Judge was biased against him (Trump) because of his (Trump's) objections to illegal Mexican immigrants and his plans to secure the border by building a wall. He never did say that the Judge was not qualified to do his job; only that HE believed the Judge was biased because of his Mexican heritage. In all fairness, the Judge in question WAS involved in advocating Mexican immigration and leniency for illegals.
Whenever he makes an uncomplimentary comment about anyone, all members of that group take it personally. That would be like you saying that because you find my comments rude and uninformed, you are accusing all Canadian women of being rude and uninformed. I don't think such generalizations are very smart.

Do they defy their advisors?

Only when they aren't chosen from the next question.

Do they ignore lobbying from the big money?

At their own peril.

One other thing I've wondered about since I was in knee high pants. Where is this "button" located where a nuclear war can be started by accidently tapping it once?

The nuclear button is located at the top of the Washington Monument. The president flies up to the top in Marine 1, flips the top off to reveal the giant red button and after exchanging too curt nods and a grunt with the Vice President, pushes the button and fires ze missiles. Official protocol requires at least one member of the cabinet to scream "You maniacs!" and jump from a White House window, but since the Cold War, storming out and slamming a door is considered sufficient. Should the president have children they are required to innocently play on the White House lawn while the ICBMs fly overhead.. During the George W Bush administration, protocol was amended to allow the Bush twins to take shots with in the basement.

Right on D.M. .......... A lot of people don't listen. A couple of months back when there was an uproar about his seeming apparent misogyny, I heard him announce loud and clear.........."Only Rosie O'Donnell". People hear what they want to hear. I think to be completely honest he should have added Hillary Clinton. :) :) :)

If those people deserved being attacked by Trump, they didn't deserve the way he did it. If a disabled reporter says something mean about Trump, and Trump responds because he's a petty childish hothead who can't control himself, then fine. You have a toddler for US president. But Trump made fun of his disability. That difference is that Trump didn't attack him with substance or even some generic insult. He insulted him in a way that is specifically offensive to disabled people. Because he is an awful human being and doesn't value disabled people.

Trump ran afoul of John McCain and he insulted him for being a POW. He didn't say "McCain's a poopyhead", he went after McCain's service to his country and the suffering he endured for it. Because he is an awful human being and doesn't value veterans or POWs for the sacrifice they make. He scoffs at them.

When Trump went after Megan Kelly, he could have called her names or gone after her journalistic integrity, but he specifically insulted her as a woman, saying she had blood coming out of her whatever. Why? Because he is an awful human being and doesn't value women.

You can't defend Trump by saying his insults directed specifically at the disabilities, or femininity or heritage of people he's insulting are not racist or sexist or ableist. Even if you think they deserve to be disrespected, they don't deserve to be disrespected in that way. That is evidence that he is the horrible person that we claim.

A couple of months back when there was an uproar about his seeming apparent misogyny, I heard him announce loud and clear.........."Only Rosie O'Donnell". People hear what they want to hear. I think to be completely honest he should have added Hillary Clinton. :) :) :)

And when he said "only Rosie O'Donnell", did you believe him? You're such a sucker for this guy. Do you remember what he said about the woman who asked him that question? Nice job proving that you only hear what you want to hear.

Are you actually saying that there is a respectful way to disrespect someone? I couldn't believe what I was reading!
You are generalizing. When you think he has insulted one person you take that as an insult toward all such people. You're putting everyone in the same basket like Clinton did with Trump's supporters.
Sorry to disagree with you but I don't believe in lumping people together in groups. Everyone is an individual regardless of race, gender or anything else. There are those in all walks of life who can take criticism and those who cannot There are those who politicize every statement made because they have their personal agendas and that is what I see happening.
Can't you see that people play their 'minority status' card at every opportunity to gain advantage?
