Beneath Parliament Hill, an assembled group of Canada’s top politicians, businesspeople, and spymasters known as the True North Society have expressed cryptic satisfaction at Ted Cruz’s recent win at the Iowa caucuses.
“I have no comment on Mr. Cruz’s recent victory or any alleged ties he has to our organization,” a representative of the mysterious group stated to assembled reporters as he used a wooden stick to move a small figurine of Cruz from Iowa to New Hampshire on a large table-mounted world map. “No comment at all.”
Cruz himself has repeatedly insisted that his Canadian heritage is meaningless and that his true loyalty is to the United States of America. As a sign of good faith, Cruz publically renounced his Canadian citizenship in 2014. That decision was made soon after photos of Cruz leaving the True North Society’s rumored “Indoctrination Hall” in Montreal were captured and published. Fringe members of the U.S. population who continue to allege that Cruz’s candidacy remains invalid have so far been met with derision and sudden disappearances of family members.

I do have some admiration for the folks who are willing to put themselves through the meat-grinder.........make that garburator that is the run-up to the election. They really need to dig deep to get through all the BS that takes place during the campaign and for that alone they deserve a nod of my head. Honestly, what do you folks have against shorter campaigns - it must all but put one to sleep by the time you actually get to cast your vote. :smile:

I think you can figure it inundates the media for about 18 months of a 4 year period! I'm talking about being the header in every news cast!
Starts about a year ahead of time seems to me. Debates and all the other campaign shyt . All the candidates running each other down . It's really all a bunch of bullshyt to be honest.
Ted Cruz left Canada when he was 4. Calgary seems okay with that.
Here in the city where Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas was born, many Canadians give less than a hockey puck about whether their native son is eligible to be the U.S. president.
Many of them are just glad he’s not running for anything in Canada.

Glenn Beck dedicated an entire segment of his radio program today to responding to a Breitbart article criticizing him for telling Mormons while campaigning for Ted Cruz in Utah recently that they must rise up and save this nation because evangelical Christians in the South "are not listening to their God."
Beck took issue with a comment from Baylor professor Thomas Kidd, who said that while "there are many reasons why devout Christians should hesitate to vote for Donald Trump ... God has not revealed Ted Cruz as the divinely anointed alternative."
God has, in fact, revealed Cruz to be His divinely anointed choice, Beck insisted.
"To you, Dr. Kidd. To you," Beck responded.
"To you God hasn’t revealed Cruz as divinely anointed. I understand that. And I respect your opinion on it. But here’s mine: I have seen this man’s life. I have watched this man. I have prayed about this man. I have prayed about it by myself, out loud, in quiet, with my family, with my staff, and I happen to believe that Ted Cruz actually was anointed for this time. Would there not be someone that was in the pool that might have the right qualifications for God? Is He that disinterested in all of us? Or is it perhaps possible that just like in the Bible, people were raised from birth for a specific time? Are we that inconsequential, Dr. Kidd? Are we really not that important enough for Him to raise someone up, at this critical juncture?"
